Summary

WashFinder uses cookies and similar storage for three things: keeping the site working, measuring traffic, and funding the site through advertising. Analytics and advertising storage are switched off until you consent. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link.

Strictly Necessary

These are set by us and cannot be switched off. They carry no advertising or cross-site tracking function.

  • cookie_consent (browser localStorage, persistent) — remembers your choice on this banner so we do not ask again.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — set when you submit a review, to verify you are not an automated bot. Provided by Cloudflare, Inc. under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — measures page views, device type and traffic sources. Provided by Google LLC.

If you choose Necessary only, Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode: it sends an aggregated, non-identifying ping and stores nothing on your device.

Advertising

  • Google AdSense (__gads, __gpi, and cookies set on doubleclick.net and googlesyndication.com) — used by Google and its partners to serve ads, cap how often you see the same ad, and detect ad fraud.

Google is a third party and acts as an independent controller for these cookies. Its use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses cookies in advertising, and you can manage personalisation directly at My Ad Center.

If you choose Necessary only, we send Google a denied advertising consent signal (Google Consent Mode v2). Ads then run non-personalised — they are based on the page you are reading and coarse location, not on a profile of you.

Third-Party Content

Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, and listing photographs are proxied from Google's servers through this domain, so Google does not receive your IP address for images. Following a "Directions" link hands you over to Google Maps or Waze, which have their own policies.

Changing Your Choice

Use the cookie settings link to reopen the banner, or clear site data in your browser. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings — the directory will still work.
