One in five UK car washes is shut on Sunday, and one in five never closes at all. We looked at the published opening hours of 7,381 locations to work out when you can actually turn up.

We compared ratings across every rated car wash in our UK database. The gap between valeting services and coin-op jet washes is larger than most drivers expect.
How this directory is built
Where the listings come from
Locations, star ratings and photos originate from Google Maps and remain the property of their authors. We restructure them by town so a place can be compared against its neighbours instead of hunted for one pin at a time.
What we add
Weekly opening hours parsed into a live open-or-closed check, payment methods, on-site amenities, and guides written from the dataset as a whole rather than from any single listing.
What we will not do
No paid placements, no ranking anyone bought, no invented reviews. Where a summary was produced by machine it is labelled as such. Read how we build this data.
