UPDATE: I ‘reached out’ to the Careline Team as suggested in the response to my review only to be told that this site was managed by a franchisee and BP could not help me. I challenged this as the response was clear and suggested that BP did not want to penalise genuine customers and I was only doing what they had advised me to do. I was told very abruptly that it was nothing to do with BP and they could do no more. They did however transfer me to the Franchisee. I spoke with them who said they would review the CCTV footage. Progress I thought. A few days later they emailed to say the footage shows I was stationary and there was nothing they could do, very dismissive. Despite my explanations it seems there is nothing BP or the franchise could or would do. Don’t be mislead by their responses to negative feedback. There is nothing they will do. This is clearly a money spinning exercise to intimidate you to pay their ‘fines’. How you are expected to fuel your car, visit the shop or inflate your tyres without stopping your car I have yet to understand. My boycott of BP continues, i know they don’t care but it makes me feel better. I visited this BP Station to inflate my tyres as one was showing as very low only to receive a £100 Parking Fine for ‘stopping’ in an unauthorised zone. I only stopped at the air machine to inflate the tyres, only me left the car and at no other time did I stop or park whilst I was at the fuel station. According to the Parking Operator I was stationery for 44 seconds! Draw your own conclusions. Having read other reviews it seems this is a common practice, I have appealed but the documentation says that the appeal is only against the lawfulness of how the fine has been issued and if there were sufficient notices displayed. A £100 charge issued in these circumstances to use the facilities that they offer is nothing but a rip off. I’ll never use a BP Station again.

I'm yet another person that they're trying to con out of £100 for parking in the CUSTOMER PARKING BAY for less than 10minutes. I'm appealing this all the way. Advertised as 24H but try to fine prospective customers for parking there when the business is closed. See you in court.

I parked at this station to get some snacks for the return journey. Got fined £100 for being a customer? Talk about expensive parking.And I thought the meatballs were overpriced...

Do not go here for petrol or to use the shop, I am another person that has been ripped off and sent £100 fine for nothing! Please avoid! This place is daylight robbery!

bi polar about this place.. its alright but not the best,i have had to edit this as i have recived a fine for stopping here and accused of dropping my daughter off. when infact i used the garage to get her pack up which i have proof time and date on statement. after her picking her pack up she decided to walk to the airport. i explained to the camra operator company that i did not break any rules and have proof of purchess. i had an email back saying they dont accept this as a valid reason and that the link to reply is no longer open and have to pay i try to reply and went on there websitewhich no longer gave me access to the fine or any details. its a disgrace of a place, them the camra company and dcbl are cow boys doing others dirty work. do not use this garage..!!! or risk a £170 fine if u challenge the £60 they first ask for.

Stopped at the inpost locker within this bp and got a 100£ fine for 5 minutes of parking within a parcking bay in front of the inpost locker. Ridiculous, avoid this petrol station at all costs, saw countless people with the same experience. NOTE, There was a sign in front of me saying i can park there for 15 minutes!!!

I am just another person who was fined for parking. I pulled into a petrol station so that we could switch drivers, and the restriction sign was NOT VISIBLE from the road. I pulled into the petrol station, we switched drivers and drove on. I spent barely two minutes there. However, the appeal states that ‘the claim that I did not see the sign is not valid.’ But how am I supposed to see it if it's A4-sized sign that is completely invisible from the road, and it was 4am. Also I did not drive into their ‘designated parking area,’ but stopped nearby, and, I remind you, it took about a minute to switch drivers. So is this considered parking in a restricted area? What about the consideration period? I am sure that this is just a way to make money and nothing more, shame on you

Good service and friendly staff

The staff were friendly, so I have no complaints about the service. However, the parking system really needs reviewing. I was a genuine paying customer and still received a parking charge. My appeal was rejected despite explaining the circumstances and providing the receipt. It's disappointing that paying customers can end up being penalised. The parking arrangements should support genuine customers rather than discourage them from stopping. I hope the management reviews this system, as it leaves a very negative impression despite the excellent staff.

They may charge you if you stop to get fuel. Avoid!

Went to BP for fuel and got a parking ticket with zero warning and no valid reason. There were no clear signs, no staff told me I couldn't park, and I was only in for 5 minutes to pay.i just filled the fuel. Feels like scam to get money out of the customers. I appealed the ticket and they rejected I have the proof of receipt but still they rejected. Called Bp care line they give us the contact of HKS limited they did not picked the call. Very bad experience. The way staff handled it was rude and completely unhelpful when I asked to appeal. This is a terrible way to treat paying customers. I will not be using this BP again and will take this up with head office. BP needs to sort out their parking enforcement and staff training.

Totally avoid. Despite being a customer, got scammed into a £100 parking charge, by those well known shysters Excel parking. The £60 early payment goes up to £100 if you appeal. Even if you're well within the early payment time frame. Won't ever use a Spar or East Midlands Airport again.

be careful there staff is calling up for police so you will get a ticket unfortunately our Toyota battery has blocked as we were exactly opposite ontwo double red lines.We wanted to turn to this petrol station to get fuel and I run to the station for help but instead they called police and we explained this to police but thez do not care it did not help 100 pounds fine for what exactly

Yet another person who received a parking fine for stopping here. Phoned BP, who told me as they have all the others that this is a franchise location and I should contact the franchisee. The number they gave me was wrong, so that was a dead end. BP obviously don't care, as these reviews go back over 6 years at this point. Don't come here, don't park here, don't stop here, do not pass go, do not let them attempt to extract £100. Resigned to having to argue this baseless scam ticket for the next few months now.

Friendly staff

Warning to Customers: I stopped at this fuel station intending to refuel, only to find it closed. Despite receiving no service, I was charged 100 EGP for merely stopping for a minute. This is unacceptable and amounts to fraud. I do not recommend this company and will never use their services again.
