Called in for fuel. (More expensive than other stations) but the review is more for the Londis attached to the JET. So I picked some of these bites up and they were mouldy! I don’t live nearby so can’t really pop back to complain and there’s no other way of contacting this exact Londis, so I’ve emailed a complaint to head office and I’ll leave this review. Disgusting!!

Motorcyclists beware! Absolutely appalling! The lady at the counter was so disrespectful to me. I came in to fuel my bike up a few days ago, before I'd even switched my ignition off she was shouting across the outdoor speakers telling me to remove my helmet. I'd not even put my side stand down to prepare to get off my bike, let alone made an attempt to fuel my bike up. For people that don't ride Motorcycles, thats like not having the chance to put your handbrake on, turn your engine off and exit your vehicle to prepare to fuel up. This is discrimination! I work for the NHS and understand, value and embrace diversity, so to be treat like this at a petrol station in the heart of a city proud of diversity was absolutely shocking! How did I come to the conclusion of being discriminated against? Definition of discrimination: Discrimination is the act of treating individual(s) or group(s) unfairly or prejudicially based on perceived or actual characteristics (such as being a motorcyclist). This behavior involves making distinctions or showing partiality rather than acting on merit, leading to exclusion, restriction, or denial of equal opportunities and rights. I was the only motorist that was singled out when I arrived with other motorist on the day in question. Once I had gotten off my motorcycle I began to remove my helmet as per protocol at all UK fuel stations. As I was removing my helmet the lady at the till came onto the speaker again and demanded I removed my helmet. It was at this point I realised I was being singled out because I came in on a motorbike. At first I wondered if the lady on the till was visually impaired and couldn't actually see me already trying to remove my helmet, but it soon became apparent that was not the case. Once I removed my helmet I waited at the pump for the lady on the till to put my fuel pump on for me to take fuel, after waiting for several minutes watching others be accepted to use the fuel pumps, my pump finally was accepted to be able to take fuel. Once I had taken the fuel I needed I went inside the shop to pay, as soon as I opened the door to the shop the lady behind the till began aggressively raising her voice to me and told me in future you take your helmet off when you arrive at the pump. I calmly tried to explain that I'd not even been given the opportunity to essentially 'park my bike' to get off the bike safely to be able to use the fuel pump. I was told that I must remove my helmet so she knew i wasn't going to steel fuel. What an unusual assumption, just because I was on a motorbike? The lady behind the till didn't even treat me like a human being, she consistently raised her voice and treat me like someone with little to no human rights. After keeping calm and asking the lady to stop raising her voice and being aggressive the lady continued, even though id done nothing wrong and there other members of the public in the shop at the time of been spoken to and treat so poorly, I asked to pay. She refused to let me pay and went on a rant about 'bikers'. It wasn't until I stopped responding to her and just stood looking at her, she finally allowed me to pay for my fuel. I have been to this fuel station before, in a car and had no problems. This time I stopped by on my motorbike to fuel up because I was familiar with the place. I will NEVER be using this fuel station again and I will be getting in touch with Wakefield Council and other partnerships through JET to make a formal complaint regarding the discriminative behaviour I have experienced here.
