Arden Auto Val

Ridiculously cheap for the level of care and respect for my vehicle. I never let anyone wash my vehicles.. When I take them for servicing at the main dealers (Mercedes, VW, Seat, Fiat, Volvo) I always insist that they are not washed as part of the service because every dealer always destroys the paint with swirls. Arden Auto Val truly understands how to wash modern water based car paint.

Been passing this car wash once a day for over a year. They seems very professional. However I wouldn't call it good value. Paid £18.50 for an small MPV which includes outside wash and hand wax. My windscreen had lots of bugs/spots left. Side windows had water marks left. Alloys were cleaned to 7/10. They do after wash check to make sure everything clean, however in my case the guy clearly looked at those bugs marks, used microfibre clothe to sort it, didn't work and he didn't bother. Its a good car wash, and I believe people in HIA don't mind the price, however things like door shuts and windows cleaned from at least outside after wash you would expect as standard for this price. No receipt provided at the end.

Me and partner live in south birmingham, and we travel roughly 15miles to get our car cleaned by this great duo. 1 we like the drive, and 2 they are professional, always offer a great service and do the job better than anybody else. We have used places in the past, and you end up going home after to clean the car again to finish the job, or the car cleaners are wearing great big watches scratching your paint work. But with these, You know its going to be a job well done and the car always looks great after. They constantly use new cloths, seperate jet washes for products, have a great efficient system in place, they even make sure the grounds are clean after super muddy cars have gone through and are always ready for drop ins. There just isnt anything not to like. Im not suprised to see a few negative reviews as some people just love to moan. You know what they say.. if you want something doing, do it yourself... Otherwise... pull up, switch your engine off and let this duo take care of things. P.s they do take card, but cash is king to this business, lets keep that up.

Well I’m genuinely very sad to be writing this as I’ve been using Arden Auto Val for several years now without issue and generally positive experiences, until today. I brought in my 1994 Mercedes SL500 for a clean. It’s been at a garage for a few weeks and was very dusty, so I wanted it spruced up ready for the weekend. I have noticed on previous visits that the traffic film remover Arden Auto Val use seems to mark the anodised finish on the radiator grill. The only way I’ve been able to remedy the issue is by polishing the grill, which is time consuming and could also damage the finish itself over time. I’ve therefore asked them very politely on previous visits not to use the traffic film remover, which they have agreed to and the problem has not reoccurred since. I asked for the same today and was met by nothing but rudeness from the man there. “Don’t tell me how to clean cars”, “Go and use an immigrant car wash”, both said repeatedly. I tried to explain why I have asked for the traffic film remover not to be used and he had zero interest in listening. As always, I was very polite in the way I made the request and was totally taken back by the response. Ended up saying he didn’t want my business anymore and telling me to leave. Generally, customers tend to interact with the woman there and the man focuses on cleaning the cars. She is very polite and friendly, and has never raised any concerns with me over my request. I should also say that this is the only car of mine I make this request on, as I haven’t had any issues with the others. Oddly, I’ve tried to accommodate their requests wherever possible. They make it very clear that cash, not card, is their preference and I’ve gone out of my way to visit a cash point before going, whenever I can. Indeed I did that today, yet clearly requests back the other way as simple as “Please can you not use the traffic film remover on my car which on previous visits here, have damaged my car” are too difficult to accommodate and too belittling. I wouldn’t advise anyone against using them as I do think they’re good at what they do, but the attitude today was poor and completely unjustified.

Unfair pricing structure and not clear on boards. I was charged £27 for a wash and buff for a Defender 90, which they claimed fell in to the XXXL category (the highest price). When I queried how this made sense as there are 4x4s much larger and I was expecting to pay no more than £20 they both got very defensive and rude. Had I opted for the wax option this price would have made sense given additional consumables and labour but for a wash and buff dry which took less than 10 minutes I am disappointed and won’t be returning

Travel here from Solihull when we are shopping in Stratford.They always do an excellent job the paintwork on my car always looks like new and tyres are dressed so look spot on always consistent high standard

I've been using Arden Auto Val for over 15 years for all of my cars. No appointment is necessary and it doesn't matter how dirty my car is or how busy they are, the quality of their wash and wax service is first rate. I've taken a variety of cars including Jaguars, Mercedes, Lexus, Volvo, Mazda & VW to them and each one looks much better and brighter after visiting. Their more in-depth pre-booked paintwork scratch removal polishing service is excellent too.

Such an excellent quality service- Great attention to detail, fast and a wonderful finish, especially the wheels. (black Audi Avant Quattro). Folks, some of these reviews are ill-informed- if you want a cheap job where the wheel acid takes the wax of your paint, go to the knock down dodgy ones in town. Arden Auto Val is in a different league and great value

I have been taking both my cars to Arden Auto Val for over 15 years approximately now. They do a fantastic job and take real care. They use great products and always keep using new clean hand cloths for each bit of cleaning so no grit or scratches. The couple who run it are so friendly and professional. I would never take my cars anywhere else. Worth every penny. Very highly recommended.

Quick car wash that did the job. Was frustrating that their inside cleaning service was down, though.

I went this am to get my car cleaned and asked for them to clean the car but not the wheels . I was asked to leave by a rude man saying “ dont tell me how to clean cars “. Shame , as I had intended using them on a weekly basis. Their loss.

First visit. Had the basic clean, cost £13. Not very impressed, have had better. Not busy, one car before us, one after. Two people working. They were very pleasant but won't be returning.
