Queens Hand Car Wash

Very disappointed with this car wash. My family and I have been regular customers for years, but the service has gone downhill recently due to constant staff changes and poor consistency in the quality of work. Cars are not being washed or dried properly anymore. My main issue today involved the owner, Omar. Staff attempted to use an acidic tyre cleaner on my car, and I politely asked them not to use it as it can damage brake pads and discs. I also asked them not to use the long brush with wire bristles on my roof. These were reasonable requests to protect my vehicle, and I even said if the roof couldn’t be cleaned safely, I would do it myself. Instead of respecting my request, the owner became argumentative and started talking about the value of my car, which was completely irrelevant. What was most upsetting was when he made a comment saying “white people come here with £70,000–£100,000 cars, pay and leave, but you People always have a problem.” I found this extremely offensive and discriminatory. They didn’t just lose a customer today, they lost my respect. You go to a car wash to get your car cleaned, not to be spoken to in a racist or abusive manner. I’m sharing this so others are aware of my experience.

Avoid if busy, they rush through and just want ya cash, cars gonna need another wash

Had my van washed and it was £10 but get what you pay for as there was still dirt patches left over afterwards so I had to go over it myself but for the money there’s not much room to complain really so would use again if I was in a rush and was passing by.

Always super busy but they do a good job! Never have air freshners to give out tho 🙄 probably once in a blue moon.

They keep changing the price and always leave streaks on the glass, the roof doesn't get cleaned properly, as wirh corners in windows. The management dint seem bothered.

Best car wash & valet service going. Used for years... definitely better than the rest.

I always went to this car wash when young men worked, but now the quality has deteriorated a lot, the men working are difficult to wash, cigarettes in their mouths, they argue about breaks and cigarettes, they don't care that the car is washed. The rims are dirty, the bottom is dirty. No recommend!!!

Used to be brilliant. I go here every 3 weeks or so. Every time, I have to ask for the tyres to be cleaned again. Drying is below par. I always get the mini valet. Is always busy so I expect the wait. Frustrating when not entirely clean though. Inside is usually cleaned well. Sometimes have to ask for things to be wiped again. Some staff in the past have been rude saying “you want cheap but want perfect job”. To that I say, you set the prices, I pay for a service! Whether I pay £12 or 20, I expect a good quality service. It is your decision what you charge. They never seem to have air fresheners in stock, even though that is part of the mini valet package. Not seen the rude staff member in months, other staff are usually lovely.

I will never use this place again. My new vehicle, only two weeks old taken to this place for a simple wash. The place was very busy and the staff there were taking very little care with the washer jet. When i got home i noticed that the guy using the jet had caught and chipped a 1cm chunk of paint of the door. I pressume that the rubber on the end of the jet was missing. THANKS A LOT LADS.

£5 car £6 suvs for a great wash in 2021. These guys generally do a great job. If your passing, they do not disappoint. My favorite. I use to use others but they are either too busy, poor standard or too far. Queens Road, great job, great price, great guys.
