G.S. Car Valeting and Detailing

Had a lot of praise for this service when I got my Mercedes valeted over a year ago, had asked for an inside valet which was £45 instead ignored the message and went and done a full valet for £65 which I was fine with given the job was well done. Two weeks ago my girlfriend brought her Ford Ka for an inside valet and was charged £60 FOR AN INSIDE VALET ON A FORD KA. Definitely taking advantage how can you charge £65 for a Mercedes C class full valet but charge £60 for a Ford Ka inside valet not to mention the car wasn’t even cleaned properly and I’ve photos to prove that.

I went to the reception inside building to find out for valet service. waited for person who was was at the other end of building engrossed in thumb texting. This person knew I was standing there i waited about 7 / 8 mins. Patiently this person Did not look up from phone during all time I stood there still texting then placed the phone on the roof of a car at back of building More frantic texting. Did not look up from phone I just left. Very disappointing to be ignored. Obviously don't need the sale.

I booked an appointment for a mini valet for 9am. Came back at 1045 and the lad working there was vacuuming the boot and hadn't even started washing the outside. He explained the Gareth had just told people to come down and he was working on other cars not booked in. I gave him another 15 minutes and he was only just finishing the carpets. I took my car and left as I had things on. To be fair, the lad who works there was very apologetic and was not going to take any money but I managed to get him to take a fiver. If booking an appointment doesn't have your car prioritised ahead of those just turning up then what's the point?

My car had an unfortunate accident with expanding foam (workers working at our neighbours house). The workers hired Gareth to fix it. Altogether my car was in with him for a total of 11 days split over 4 occasions. Apparently nothing was shifting it not even wet sanding which we were told had been done several times. 3rd time it came back to us with the roof not touched at all, polish still on it, polish residue still all over it and expanding foam and marks still over it; but in addition to this my car now also had scratches all over her too! We gave him one final chance to resolve all the issues. My car came back from gareth for the 4th and final time and it still had some tiny orange dots of expanding foam on her, expanding foam marks still dotted all over her and the scratches untouched (she may have even gained a few). I pointed these out to Gareth who very cheekily responded that he 'wasn't paid' to deal with the scratches. No Gareth you wouldn't considering you and your staff caused them and not the workers who hired you to deal with the expanding foam and marks! He then tried to deny that the scratches were done while in with him but if you look in the pictures there are 3 screenshots of messages raising the scratches with him and not once on these 3 seperate occasions did he deny it! Instead his replies were no problem/no hassle/we'll resolve. It was also raised face to face with him and he again said he would resolve (caught on ring doorbell). I was shocked that he had the audacity to stand there and deny it after saying he would resolve on multiple occasions. The worker who hired Gareth paid him over £500 & even bought product to help remove the expanding foam too (which worked on his own van). All that money and it still has some marks and expanding foam on it but now also has scratches all over her too! The pictures only show a select few. My car is a year old and never goes far. Paintwork was scratch free and undamaged beforehand. We're now having to source somewhere else to fix the scratches he done and to remove the marks and expanding foam he didn't get off. Apart from the above there was also the issue of poor communication. He would say it was going in for 1 day and not even contact you to say he needed to keep it longer or get your permission either (4 days later I got her back). Can only be described as unprofessional really. I feel for the worker who paid his hard earned money for such an extremely poor service especially as it didn't fix it. I am sure he feels like he was taken for an absolute ride! Edited: Some chemical was also spilt on the passenger side floor. Ring doorbell footage shows him lifting some sort of spray bottle out, kicking it over (clearly now empty of its contents) & fussing over it until we came out to him but he didn't have the decency to let us know at the time. When confronted about it he denied it; even after being sent the footage! No integrity at all.

Have had these guys our out for the 3rd (possibly 4th!) valet of our car today... there's a reason why I keep going back. Fantastic and efficient service. Very convenient that they come out to your house as well. Price is very reasonable too. Will definitely be back to them again!

Gareth did a BMW for me during the week, and despite the poor weather the job was completed on time and to an excellent standard.Understanding deadlines he had the engineer come out and repair the powerwasher half way through the job ! Further to that, he machine polished out a scratch that the body shop said "only could be painted". Very much a value business. Small but good. A young man with excellent future potential.I called with four valet shops before giving him the car which incidentally had a market value of £90,000 pounds. jpd

Just collected car from gs detailing was filthy and covered in pet hairs when we left it in came out like a new car brilliant job

Left wheel into get fixed and rear view mirror reattached. 1 day and £320 later mirror fell off and wheel is flat. Waste of time and money. Never again The car is in a place in the Boucher road and they’ve looked at your work and said it was the worst they’d seen in a long time. Mirror stuck on with sticky tape and wheel was not roadworthy when you returned it to me. If you forward me your address I’ll send you copy of report. I am going to take you to small claims court if you don’t issue a full refund of £320

Very bad cleaning job was done in my van. I even had to chase him to clean a driver's seat. Since when it is not included in the full valeting service?

Our car had very tired paintwork, Gareth did a 1 day treatment, that took out all the scratches and the paintwork looks like it did when we bought it. Great work and value for money. This is the 3rd car we have had done by G.S. all have been fantastic.

Recommend this company! Got my car cleaned inside and out, scratches touched up and got car returned to me the same day. Gareth the owner and assistant both very pleasant and helpful!
