BP - Car Wash

Wow, fill up, use their vacuum and jet wash and get a £100 parking charge notice for the privilege. BP and Motor Fuel Group (owner) really don't care about your customer experience or this fine. I won't be using these services again. BEWARE !! Edit: 28-Feb-2024. In response to the reply comment from BP, I had already reached out to BPs careline beforehand, they didn't want to know, very quickly deferred blame to the owner of the site and instructed me to contact them. Couldn't do anything nor wanted to do anything further - so folks don't assume these response comments from business always mean they are stepping in to help, they are not, they just want it to look that way. Motor Fuel Group have been totally unhelpful with follow ups also, again deferring blame to the Parking Company they've employed to do this. Terrible behaviour towards customers, I'd rather take my business to companies that want my custom and don't penalise me for it. Vote if you agree!!

Be careful when you want to have the car wash offer! Basically a scam on the car wash offer of buy 3 get 4th free as you must need to pay at kiosks rather than using the machine outside car wash to pay! There is no sign and warning at the car wash station to remind you only after you paid at machine and without any receipt, then you went to the kiosk to ask and they said they cannot offer me any receipt as proof or couldn’t refund and repay at kiosk again!

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS PLACE. You get a fine from eurocarparks as a parking charge totally ridiculous!!!! Honestly disgusting service. Mediocre car wash at best and then a £100 fine for the privilege. Eurocarparks you are money grabbing thieves. Now you might say it’s unrelated two different businesses. I’m sure mfg you have the power to sort this with eurocarparks, and next time think about where you are planning to build a car wash.

Got a parking charge notice of £100 from euro car parks coz had to queue for the car wash. Disgraceful as now I'm going have to spend time dealing with the appeal. I used this car wash a month ago. There was a queue of cars so it took longer than expected. A few days later, I got a £100 parking ticket. I tried to contact BP, they bounced me to another company, which then bounced me to another company, which said parking is managed by another company so I need to appeal with them. I made an appeal, and a few weeks later they just replied saying "we rejecting your appeal because your car entered the station at X time and left at Y time, exceeding the 30 minutes limit". And they don't care that I was using the car wash and not using the parking there. Terrible company and terrible service. From now on I will never visit this station again and would not recommend it to anyone! Update: After the review they sent me a contact details of someone who "might" help me, but it was absolutely not helpful at all, as I already tried to contact them. They just reply saying they are not managing the station as another company managing it, and then the managing company saying they don't manage the car park so I have to dispute it with Euro Car Parks, which have rejected my appeal. So they know that the parking company is ripping off their customers but not willing to do anything about it. Anyway, what meant to be £8 car wash turned out to be a £68 car wash. I will never set my foot into another BP station again.

They have changed the timings on the machines so it now counts down much more quickly than before - it now costs £6-8 to wash a small car. Used to cost £4. Terrible value for money.

Extremely slow, and if you try to scan the ticket it won't work, you have to pay again at the machine! Waste of time

I got a nasty PCN for overstaying their 30 minutes rule. After some back and forth, it was cancelled. If you need to wash your car and it’ll take more than 30 minutes, you need to let them know in the store else you’ll get PCN.

Horrible place, always broken, machines run out of detergent, expensive for what it is, staff are rude, parking fines, don't honour promotions. Avoid if you can!

No worth using the self service jet wash you risk a fine,30 min stay is not enough,everyone got fined big scam

They put traffic cones on every jet wash and the machines are turned off. Useless

BEWARE-POOR SIGNAGE- PCN CHARGE MAY BE ISSUED AFTER USING CAR WASH! It is sad to see how many other users here pointed out to receive a PCN after waiting in the queue to use the car wash, and still, the owner of the car wash (mfg) does not provide enough duty of care for the customers to avoid financial loss by not providing suffienct signage. The main signage at the entrance does not mention anything about the car wash users, and the 2nd signage which mentions this is very close to the car wash payment machine which is likely you have overstayed by the time you reach it!! I have appealed to Euro Car Parks and it was rejected, and will re-appeal again to POPLA to explain my case. Until that time. I will avoid using this forecourt compeltely. Message to BP, if you think this is owned by a separate company (MFG), go ahead and update on google map that it is a MFG -Car wash" as currently it shows BP car wash.

One star is actually to much, disgusting rude customer service! After trying to wash my car and noted to the staff that detergents are finished ( foam not available) they started laughing and said not there problem and advised to go to other car wash :(( The manager refused to talk because “ is to busy “ Avoid those car wash!

Absolutnie rubbish water is cold They should be warm, cars cannot be washed with cold water

Avoid!! Got a parking ticket because there was a queue of cars waiting to use carwash. This was a while back. Today using carwash went to enter number plate on their system as advised by the signs to avoid getting a ticket. Only to be interrogated by Tamil behind the counter as to why I’m doing that. Explained that I’m using car wash. Long story short he did not let me enter number plate and had quite an attitude. Surely this is not how you treat regular customers.

Always something going wrong. Someone gets stuck or computer not responding!
