Oriental Hand Car Wash

So here’s the full scoop: I’ve been a loyal customer at other local car washes for 15 years, and I decided to give this new place a try. For the first few weeks, I was patient, but the quality of the cleaning kept slipping. They never cleaned the inside thoroughly, and I had to deal with dirty windows and cup holders. Today, I finally saw the owner outside of his car—because usually, he just sits inside like he’s avoiding everyone. I approached him man-to-man to give polite feedback instead of just leaving a bad review. But instead of listening, he got defensive, acted like a grumpy teenager, and basically dismissed everything I said. In short, he showed zero respect for a paying customer. So I’m taking my business back to the places that actually appreciate feedback. My advice to him: never argue with a customer trying to help you improve. I wish him well, but he won’t see another cent from me.

I went there for a standard exterior wash, which costs £15. While I was there, I asked if they could remove a few road tar marks that I’ve had removed at other car washes before with the concentrate tyre solution and a bit of effort. I was told that if the marks came off, the price would be £35 and if they didn’t, it would be £20. In the end, I paid the standard £15, but nobody even attempted to remove the marks. They just did a rushed basic wash and the marks were left exactly as they were. The guy with glasses was also very arrogant and came across as if he couldn’t be bothered. On top of that, they use a plastic squeegee on the paintwork, which isn’t great for the finish and can cause micro-scratches over time. Plenty of better car washes around. I wouldn’t recommend this one.
