R&M Hand Car Wash

Poor, really poor. Prices up, quality rock bottom. £28 for what was £20 not so long ago. Paid for car to be cleaned, inside and out. When I got it back, lots of marks left inside. I pointed it out, and they didn't want to know, wouldn't even look. Rude and dismissive staff. Been coming here for years, never again. Crooks. Plenty of other car washes around who don't take the piss, including one just round the corner from these clowns. * update in response to their response * Of course you have no records, you're predominately a cash business. My review is 100% legit. Your offer to discuss is dishonest and disingenuous. I tried at the time to discuss and you didn't want to know. You wouldn't even walk 10 yards to my car to see what I was complaining about. You're just trying to look like you're more than you are. You were and are out of order. The guys just round the corner from you are way better, and a lot more pleasant and professional.

First time at R&M took our campervan to be cleaned outside as we had lots of bug splats on the bonnet from our recent travelling. Friendly smiley people who did an amazing job, alphy looks great. I will also be bringing my car to them in future. ❤️

Was the first and last time I ever go there. They rushed the cleaning and missed lots of areas. Of course they take your money first before you expect your car so you don’t negotiate the price after cleaning. I paid £35 and the standard of cleaning was a £10. When I pointed it out to the manager he told me next time we will do it better, I told him it’s my first and last time. Don’t waste your money there are other places that have amazing standards for that price.

Exceptional attention to detail. We have hand car washes closer to us in Hove but we come here despite it being logistically inconvenient because of how well they clean. Thank you

My first wash there was good. I returned a while after and during the external wash I noticed a spot missed which I pointed out as politely as I could. I understand it can be awkward. However, that doesn’t excuse being snapped and then death stared at. Deeply unnerving, so I will take my business elsewhere…

Really happy with my visit today. The staff were friendly and made the whole process easy. My car came out looking way better than I expected — super clean, inside and out. You can tell they actually care about doing a good job. We wiill definitely be back.

Over priced. Very basic clean. The guy even tried to be rude to me because I said they were the most expensive cleaners around so I hope to have a good job done. They would not even wipe bird poo from the roof of a transport van but wanted £45 to do a clean. He said it was not their policy to clean the roof even though they are way more expensive than places that do and its part of the vehicle. I won't be going back there. There are much better choices. 2 stars is being friendly when they underperformed in every way..

Only ever had the outside cleaned, but it's always been done really well.

These guys did the most thorough car wash in and out my car has ever had! It looks like new and price pretty good too. Thank you

I’m updating my previous 5 star review. This place has gone downhill badly. Prices up / service down. Noticeable difference in the service you get (or don’t!) when the boss isn’t there. I realise it’s not the most enjoyable job, but the attitude of the staff and the complete disregard to your car and the fact I have to clean and dry the car when I get home means I will NO LONGER be going to this place to have my car cleaned. Over 15 years I have been going here, and have given three more chances to get it right. Sadly, they haven’t. I tried to speak to the boss on each occasion, but he was absent. Bye bye.

Been coming here for years.Very expensive now.Prices have suddenly shot up by 35%!!!! Today was my last visit.

I visited today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I called ahead to find out the price and when I got there had a good experience with my BMW. The service people were friendly, lots of smiles and made me feel comfortable (not something I always feel at other local hand car washes). The man who I assume owns the car washes gave me the impression that he takes pride in his car wash, the service provided and the relationships he has with his customers, which I value. I also noticed him get involved in wiping cars down when hands were busy - I like that. I hope my future experiences are just as good as I plan to return. I was also able to pay with card which is a plus! Rated a 4/5 as the price is higher than other car washes and overall close to £30 for inside and out is pretty steep. Also despite a positive experience, they could have paid more attention to detail on the interior.
