Shell Car Wash

The Shell garage is on the southbound carriageway of Eastern Road at the hotel and just before the roundabout, so make sure you are in the left hand lane and if approaching from the south, use the right hand filter lane. Not too well signposted but car wash is on the left as you drive in. You have to enter a 6 digit code which you get from the cashier who will hand you a card showing what washes are available. Starts at £5. Tickets are valid for 7 days from date of issue. After entering the correct code, pull forward (and make sure you are positioned in the middle) until the STOP sign illuminates. The wash starts automatically. Wash times vary between 5 and 10 minutes depending on what you select. I have only used this once and was happy with the service at the till and the quality of the wash so I am giving a 5 star review. Wish the lane was a little wider as I kept thinking the mechanism was going to collide with the car but it was OK. Not sure I would take a big car through it though.

Fast car wash for my dirty locksmith job van. Always try to come to this carwash

Used to be a decent wash. Paid £8.50 for a wash and it hardly touched it. Still had bird droppings on my car after the wash and the rear window was the same as it was before the wash. I took it to BP in Leigh Park and had a second much better wash done. Hope it gets sorted soon.
