The Car Wash Company Leicester (Highcross)

Paid £35 for a platinum wash, and its absolutly appalling. Thing being I could tell the car wasn't cleaned properly the 1st time I returned as there was still hair and threads on the seats. So after leaving it and my other half paying for the clean on returning when we got out in the daylight there was still dust on the dashboard dust and easily cleanable debris all over really as well as the windscreen not being cleaned on the exterior. Will not ever use this service again as its as exspensive as a proper valet. The attitude of staff is poor when I pointed out the lack of cleaning they get defensive. The boot also wasnt cleaned the 1st time as they couldnt see the big button to open it on the dashboard (I guess they didnt even look.) Just a very dissapointing service when you compare it to how it was when it 1st opened.

I visited the Leicester Highcross car park on Saturday 7th December around 1pm. I decided to get my car valeted as I had heard so much about your firm. I was convinced to go for the absolute best option which was £190 but "will give me £40" discount. So I was decided to pay £150 and was reassured it includes everything from sunroof to seats, to vacuum and boot and inside doors etc. I was told to come back at 4pm and I did and upon first impression it looked ok but as it was really dark adlnd cold it was very difficult to check everything had been cleaned. I came home and went to bed as I wasn't feeling very well. This morning when I went to drop my daughter to school she noticed the same mess she had noticed before on the back seat arm rest where the cup holders are kept. I checked it myself and knew they hadn't even touched this area and very upset and angry after parting with £150. So I further checked the inside of the car and my suspicions came true when I saw the inside doors still has mud marks on them, the back window sill area has white hairs on it still so hasn't even been vacuumed. I am absolutely appalled by this service and disgusted and feel ripped off. Stay away from this place, they are not what it seems...once you leave for them to clean, they do not do what you expect.

The service itself was ok, but didn’t like the attitude of the ‘site manager’. Very pushy when we just wanted a standard interior/exterior clean but he kept trying to convince us to go up a package- even having the audacity to discount if we ‘can’t afford it’ (his words). I suggest he just does what people ask without trying to upsell.

This used to be a great service, but the last two times have been terrible. All of the staff have changed. Yesterday there was polish left all over my car, and on the windows. Parts of the car were still dirty. When I had the interior done the time before, an air freshener was put in the vents which rattled for a month. I asked if the products used are AutoGlym, and was assured they were, but either that isn't the case or some retraining needs to happen.

Awful service, rude and they are lying to customers on availability of Silver and Gold packages, forcing people get unnecessary valet. They did a very poor job cleaning the exterior of vehicle leaving mud on inside of wing mirrors and in the grill. Then said they could not access the interior and still tried to charge £25. Highly advise to use other providers nearby

Extremely expensive, £66 pounds for just a normal carwash, inside and outside! This was not like this before, I won’t go there anymore.

Bad quality for 25£ for outside cleaning only , and price originally on the board was 21£ and VAT separately so = 25£ I can understand if this will be USA or some business deal , so be careful when you see price

Pretty disappointing experience. Clean was okay - but gauling at £39 (not sure why I was charged this when the “platinum” service I opted for was listed on the board at £34.95). On the service, their advertising and price list isn’t in keeping with what they tell you in person. I opted for platinum (after being pushed up from gold) and even then the guy tried to tell me it was a “basic” service. I asked for it to include everything that platinum set out on the board. I can’t see how you can have the audacity to call a “platinum” service “basic”, particularly when it sits above their bronze, silver and gold packages. Anyhow turns out they do charge you £39 for a very basic service. Would save your money and try other establishments.

absolutely awful, don't bother at all. staff member there was polite but did a terrible job of cleaning my car... when I paid £85 for it! missed my wheel arches, boot, bonett, grill, dash board, compartments inside. and as well as that, broke the cap on my gearstick! I emailed the company to see what they could do and haven't replied for 2 days so on terms of customer support, shocking. don't waste your time or money here at all

If you just want your car cleaner than it was after you’ve finished your shopping and you have cash to burn and don’t care about value for money then I’d say it was alright. We paid £60 to have our car cleaned and the outside looked good but the carpet still had dirt on it, matts still dirty, mud guards still dirty and some smears on glass/mirrors. Been to cheaper ones elsewhere that have done a better job. Disappointed. But it is better than what it was (filthy).

The lads here did a great job. My car was gleaming and immaculate inside and out when I collected it. It wasn't cheap but I can't fault the value for money. It's in a handy location inside the John Lewis car park, so you can drop it off, do some shopping and collect it after an hour or so.

£40 for a wash & polish on a small hatchback and didn’t even bother to open doors/boot and do the sills, no attention to detail at all. Complete waste of money, could have done a better job myself. Never felt so ripped off before and therefore not even worth 2 stars

Worse car wash I have been to, expensive and didn’t do a very good job left the car for 1.5 hours and still wasn’t ready. Very unhappy and will never use again

Paid £110 approx for deluxe/detailed/showroom clean. However there were a lot of areas missed. There is very poor lighting in the car park. All vents were still dusty on inside. There were spray marks all over interior. Not worth the price

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! We spent £120 (which was an offer!) on a full interior and exterior clean. We arrived back 3 hours later and the car wasn't finished, so we had to stand and watch for 10 mins as they rushed through to finish the job! Our windscreen was still smeared, they didn't remove the dog bed in the boot and instead cleaned OVER it! Meaning I had to clean my dogs bed when I got home as it stunk of chemicals and i was concerned for her health! I also had to clean the boot myself as it was still full of mud smears as they obviously just gave it a quick once over. For the price, the results are utterly shocking. Don't ignore the reviews, this place is a con.

Terrible quality job. 27 quid for a basic wash and clean. Swirl marks, no shuts done, and water runs all over. A kid can do better. Please all, do not use. More than 3 times more expensive than a competent wash will cost. Don't believe their standard reply statements. I have now had to wash the whole car carefully again to make sure of no damage. Please, for the sake of your car, do not use.

Left our car with this company at Highcross Leicester. Asked for basic wash and Polish. Returned two hours later they were just "finishing up". Charged £27, and this was the result. Door shuts not cleaned at all. Swirl marks all over - so much so that it will need rewashing. The roof wasn't done. Looking on the invoice we supposedly had a silver- on the website it says From £23. ... So not the basic which is bronze - £11.95 When challenged we were told the Web price is different- so they pretty much charge what they like. We had paid for the parking so had to leave. I have emailed customer service- let's see what the response is.

First time using this car wash, I used the “gold” package and it was brilliant, the car looks lovely both inside and outside!
