Leicester Auto Valet

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! If you want to be left with a dead car battery, interior paintwork damage and then be intimidated over the phone when you try to resolve the issue peacefully, then by all means use this company. I had a full valet (£80) and my car battery was left completely dead (the job took 2 and a half hours & light dials inside of my car were not in the position left in, so I assume they were knocked during the clean and lights etc were left on for the duration). I called Jeff as soon as we’d realised (about an hour after) and he admitted it had happened before and it was probably the battery, but he was in no way concerned. Jeff watched me move my car for him prior to the clean so he saw that the battery wasn’t dead before hand. Due to this I was unable to attempt to dry out my car as he’s recommended, by leaving it running with the heaters blasting, which wouldn’t have worked due to the vast amount of moisture left in the seats anyway (pushing on the seats led to water bubbling up. Admittedly I thought nothing of this as I’d not had the interior cleaned before). When the battery was changed we were shocked to find that because of the moisture left in the car it had caused interior paint to bubble and chip away. I’ve sent photos and a reasonable explanation to Jeff through watsapp stating politely the issue and that I hope he can reimburse me for the battery and for the damage once quoted by the body shop. He then called me and tried to intimidate me over the phone dismissing my issues and not wanting to take any responsibility for the battery or the damage. He stated that “we can’t kill a battery that’s already flat” when like I say, Jeff watched me move my car just fine before hand so knows the battery was fine before. He had the keys for 2 and a half hours which is plenty of time to kill off a perfectly fine battery if lights or radio are left on. He then said that the damage wouldn’t have been his fault because I couldn’t dry out the car like he advised.. in my opinion it is his fault because he’s killed the battery leaving me unable to do exactly that. Over all it took my car 4 days for the seats to dry out, I wouldn’t expect them to take that long even without heat applied. I have photos of water droplets on the inside of the car 3 days after the job was done. I thought I would be reasonable and contact Jeff with my issue directly rather than sending him a bill for the damages with no contact, but Speaking to Him today he would rather “pass the details to his legal team and see me in court” than admit fault and pay for the repairs. I had the valet done in order for me to sell my car, it’s now been delayed and I have been left out of pocket for a battery and soon to be for body shop repairs that wouldn’t have been needed if the battery wasn’t killed whilst cleaned. You’d think that choosing a company for the experience they have you’d be leaving your car in good hands, Not left out of pocket because you’re paying for damages caused by the company you paid & trusted.

The guys from Leicester Auto Valet arrived as discussed to clean both vehicles on the driveway in quite challenging conditions due to the weather, yet still managed to do an excellent job on both vehicles to a very good standard, I have already rebooked and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these guys.

Jeff has been valeting our cars for a while and provides an absolutely superb service. They always turn up on time, rain or shine, and leave the cars impeccably clean, both in and out. I will not trust anyone else to wash our cars!
