IMO Car Wash

Rude staff. Definitely got conned for paying for the top service.Car looks as if it had a standard wash. Got better wash elsewhere for less money. Won't be coming back

Leaves smear marks all over the car, makes it dirtier than it was originally! Avoid avoid.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Emo Car Wash. They hardly seem to use any soap anymore – the machine appears to be spraying plain water instead of proper car shampoo. The foam that used to completely cover the car from top to bottom is no longer there. The wheel cleaner also wasn’t used, so the wheels were left dirty after the wash. The overall quality has dropped significantly compared to how it used to be. If you’re thinking of going there, have a look for yourself and decide. Based on my experience, the wash no longer provides the standard of cleaning it once did.

I have used this IMO Car Wash location five times because it is local and convenient, but due to the repeated, unacceptable behavior of one specific staff member, I will never return. Out of the five times I visited, this particular employee was on duty for four of them. Every single time, he was aggressive, impatient, and abusive. Because I needed a moment to open my phone, find the app, and pull up my QR code/coupon, he would repeatedly rush me, yell, and swear at me in his own language. • First Visit: He was openly teasing and mocking me in his own language. Being new to the process, I stayed quiet. • Second Visit: While I was trying to get my coupon ready, he became hostile, using foul language and treating me as if he were doing me a favor or giving a free service. I explicitly told him to stop speaking to me that way. • Fourth Visit: I was the only person in the queue. He rushed me again, refused to help me find the purchased coupon on the app, and continued his verbal abuse. When I told him I was going to report him, he completely brushed it off and did not care. To confirm this isn't an isolated incident, on my last visit, another elderly customer who washed his car right after me pulled over to express the exact same complaint—this specific staff member had been incredibly rude to him as well. The employee does not wear a name tag, but I have taken a photograph of him for identification purposes. Management needs to look into who was working the gate on these shifts. This man’s toxic behavior, lack of professionalism, and habit of swearing at customers in another language is ruining the reputation of an otherwise convenient local business. I will be taking my business elsewhere and lodging a formal complaint with corporate head office.

Worst IMO around. Do NOT pre-spray car properly.. And have an ATTITUDE.

No shampoo just water, poor quality not happy what I paid.

I am using IMO for quite a long time but not this one, very disappointed about everything, staff smocking, didn’t bother to at least wet my car,no jet on my wheels ,i tried to ask them but apparently not English speakers, not recommended and never again on this location. Don’t waste your time and money.

UltraHD The water is dirty and wax collects as droplets all over the car ( almost like candle wax ). Get your act together and clean your machinery. Absolute waste of money.

Terrible wash. Paid £8.50 for triple foam and essentially came away with a basic rinse. I’m not sure if they were honest with the mode they selected but either way the car wash is no good

Car was filthy after the UltraHD wash, which is supposed to be the second from top in terms of quality of wash.. it was very disappointing and left a streaky cloudy wax on the car, basically worse than before it started if I’m honest. Waste of money and go elsewhere

Awful service. I paid for the more expensive wash with what I presumed would be a thorough pre-wash before going through the machine. The 2 guys spent around 30 seconds max with just the jet wash. I mentioned that that was a half hearted pre-wash and I had better at the same car wash with the eco option at half the price. I was rudely told what I have been given is correct. I got home and the wheels are still as dirty as they were before the wash. £12 down and having to finish the job myself. Never again!

The quality of the wash is poor. When you are paying for the higher quality washes you would expect more care and attention. I’m left with visible grime, watermarks, debris and obvious missed spots. I shall be complaining to head office, particularly after I asked if the door shuts could be done. I was told this was an extra pound, but no price for this service was displayed. I’m glad I said I would do it myself as I’m not convinced it would have been done well. Going back to the dirt, it’s not like it was caked on or difficult to remove. I was able to draw my fingers through it and lift it off.

One of the dudes looked like he wanted to kill me because I was first timing at one of these automatic car washes and didn't understand something. Really unempathetic. Wash was decent but I would rather go to a handwash. Will not use again, thanks to the guy who got a bit rude and impatient.

There's 2 parts for this review Firstly, the customer service from Headquarters is perfect and I'd rate their ability to respond to my feedback at 5 stars. The quality of the wash at the London Colney site is unfortunately not that great. The end result is a car covered in water spots, grime, and wheels that were far from clear with patchy results. The road grime and brake dust on 1 car was patchy and still present in the barrels, around the valves and up and down the spokes and unfortunately similar results on a 2nd wash after returning with a goodwill to replace the 1st XTR level wash I had detailed my own car after visiting 2 weeks ago and thought to try the goodwill Ceramic XTR that HQ had sent me (Something I'm incredible grateful for). I thought I'd try my wife's car this time and I ended up with the same quality of finish and where the left wheels were left more dirty than the right side. For the top tier wash I couldn't recommend that level. I was aiming for a wash that would be weekly during winter but if an automated wash can't clean a moderately dirty car I'd really doubt the efficacy of the coatings that are being used or if they are even being used.

Regrettable visit, noticeable fine scratches all across the windscreen now, I'm sure on bodywork too but I'm afraid to look. Never again!
