Burrowfield Hand Car Wash Ltd

Recently moved out of London & used to go to a Hand Carwash in Denham (Pristine Valeting Centre) who were the best, but now too far for me to drive to anymore (1hr each way!!) so been looking for best carwash near me (Hitchin) & tried a few (who were rubbish/rip-off) & found this one via Google search & so far it even beats Pristine Valeting Centre for quality of service! Didn't have time for inside car (gotta give my son something to do!), but so far been very impressed! Was a bit disappointed to see they did NOT dry outside of car with touchless high-powered air dryers (which was mentioned in a Google review), but they DO use high power air lines to blast water off my door mirrors & wheels AND use snow-foam, so can't complain as I've yet to find one that uses air drying system anyway! UPDATE (June 2022): Still getting my car(s) washed @Burrowfield & have to say they're still the best value Carwash around! In fact, as the cost-of-living crisis continues in the UK, I'm happy to say that Burrowfield Carwash have managed the impossible by NOT putting up their prices! Let's hope that they can resist increasing their charge when just about EVERYTHING else has shot up in price! My previous comments about lack of the touchless air-drying can probably be ignored as I think the review I had read was referring to the high-power air lines they use to blast out water from around door mirrors/locks & wheels. So keeping my 5 star rating! UPDATE (Dec 2024): The good news is they still do a cracking job of hand washing vehicles (inside & out). I'd make sure that you tell them beforehand if you only want the outside wash so they can move you into a different lane to get out otherwise you'll be stuck in the queue behind vehicles getting the inside done! The bad news is that they've been forced to put up their prices (but I suppose that's to be expected these days!). The only other negative I have to say is that they didn't give me the snow-foam treatment this time round, but that might be just a one-off thing (run out of foam????). Still a great service though so I wouldn't go anywhere else! UPDATE: 17th March 2026. Okay, i haven't been here for over 6 months now (as i have moved further away) but as i was passing by I decided to pop in again for a quick wash. And I'm glad to say that they are still trading & the snow-foam is back! And this time they do the right thing by jet-washing all the loose dirt off the car 1st and THEN apply the foam, leaving it for a few minutes before jet washing it again prior to hand-washing etc .. so even better than it has been in the past! Excellent job guys. 👍😎

Very disappointing experience. I took my car in for a wash, but it came out still dirty and with new scratches. When I pointed this out to a member of staff, they argued with me instead of acknowledging the problem or taking any responsibility. The poor quality of the wash was frustrating enough, but the dismissive customer service made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, I won't be returning and cannot recommend this car wash based on my experience.

horrible car wash, inside was still completely dirty, rushed the job. when called back, the guy started swearing on the phone, claiming it wasn’t their fault and refused to give a refund.

Always a treat getting the car cleaned here. Fast efficient and affordable.

Very friendly staff, they always do a great job, no streaks/water marks left over, super shiny and quick, but not a rushed job. Have always had a good experience here, definitely value for money - would recommend!

Used this car wash this morning and was highly impressed with great service and how clean my car looked after. I went with my two children and the staff were very friendly and kind. I will be using them from now on!
