I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to recognise the quality of service and honesty of the team at JTT. I had a clutch issue with my car that another garage had charged 35 quid to Inspect (they just test drove it) and then quoted 922 quid for a full repair without ever telling me what the issue was. My parents have used JTT for years so I sought a second opinion, and not only did they check my car without charging, they were adamant that whilst there was a bit of an issue with a clutch bearing if they were being critical, in no way would they recommend getting a full repair of it yet. Cannot recommend them highly enough in comparisons to others out there.

Had car MOT done here and had several repairs done. Was given clear and transparent information by Adele who was extremely helpful and all done the same day. Would not hesitate to use again

What a waste of half a month, could not diagnose an issue. Said wait for them to speak to specialist. Waited two weeks for them to say go and find someone else! If you don't want the work just say.

Great MOT service

I have used this garage for several years, and in the past they always provided a pre-MOT check for me without any problem. They also do this for other customers regularly. This year the experience was very disappointing. The director did not tell me that a pre-MOT check would not be done — he only explained after the MOT was finished. When I asked why, he gave several excuses, including that a pre-MOT “takes too much time” and even claimed it would “breach procedure,” which is not correct. Another issue is my airbag alarm: for the last two years the garage kept attempting to fix it but never succeeded. They did not charge me before (perhaps because it was never actually fixed). This year, they suddenly wanted to start charging me for the same problem, even though I have no confidence they can resolve it after so many failed attempts. I told them to leave it. On top of that, the labour fee was much higher than in previous years, with no clear explanation. It felt like I was being charged at a “director’s rate” rather than a standard labour rate. I also want to mention that the previous receptionist was excellent — patient, caring, and always looking after customers properly. Now they only work part-time, and the director Jason Morfett has started covering reception himself. Since then, the quality of service has noticeably gone down. What upset me most was the director’s attitude. Instead of being honest and straightforward, he kept changing his explanation, and kept saying “he was not rude.” As a foreign female customer, I felt dismissed and not treated with respect. This inconsistency, lack of transparency, and poor customer care have left me very disappointed. I share this review to remind other customers to ask for all charges in writing and to be cautious when relying on their service promises.

I highly recommend this garage - really great service by the team - and great value I’m very impressed and will come back 100 percent .

Adele is an asset to the whole world. I was so stressed about my VXR and she was amazing. Jason was able to fix problems on my car that the main dealer couldn’t. Best mechanics by far ! Now that I’ve got an imported mustang they are still able to fix my car at a very reasonable price that is fair.

The staff at JTT are incredible and helped my parents through a very stressful situation when their exhaust broke off the car. They fixed in straight away and made my mum and dad feel at ease through a difficult situation. Wonderful company and would recommend them to anyone!

I love these people! I have been a happy customer at JTT for nearly 20 years and have brought them all sorts of issues, with various cars :) Jason and the team are always attentive, speedy to respond, generous with their time and expertise, extremely cost effective and I really couldn’t ask for more.

Went to the garage today and they saw me straight away. Luckily the car just had a loose screw and they were very honest about this. Would highly recommend this place as my family too have been looked after for years by JTT.

These guys are the best! Finally after 40 years, a reliable, helpful but most importantly honest garage who won’t try and rip you off! They’ve always worked out the most affordable and fair price for me, whilst being polite and courteous….something which seems to be a chore for most these days unfortunately. Very accommodating and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thanks guys for always being soo helpful!

Never was a paying customer due to the situation with the extent of the work needed on my car, but a very positive experience due to the honesty of the staff. Were open with their opinions on the work necessary, their past similar jobs and what they would choose if it was their own car: Honest, trustworthy, professional and straight to the point.
