Our Take

Several reviewers report that the interior was returned to a like-new condition, with one paying £99 for a maintenance valet and another paying £275 for a full detail. The £275 detail, however, left one customer dissatisfied because the headlining and a windscreen sticker were not addressed, and the sticker was only removed after a follow-up visit.

Not all range rovers and supercars, Caden did a maintenance clean on our Citroen C4, massively appreciate you going above and beyond with the service. It was trashed before and I mean seriously trashed and caden brought it back to a good sell able standard for me. Took professional photos and sent them across. Will certainly recommend and use again!

Thank you for the ceramic coating, stage 2 machine polishing and deep clean package. Great value for money, appreciate you coming out and giving me a quote firstly, then taking me back and forth from my house to your studio. Looking forward to using your maintenance services in a month or so time thanks

I have mixed feelings about this experience. On the positive side, the interior is now clean, the stains and glue on the seats were successfully removed, and the car certainly looks much better than when I dropped it off. I also appreciate that the detailer came back after I raised my concerns rather than ignoring them. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn't justify the £275 price in my opinion. Before the work, I specifically pointed out several areas that were important to me, including a sticker on the windscreen, marks and glue on the seats, and the headlining. Naturally, I expected these to be addressed as part of the detail. When I collected the car, the sticker was still there, the headlining hadn't been touched, and the boot storage area hadn't been cleaned. The pricing also lacked transparency. I was quoted a range of £195–£295 based on the condition and size of the vehicle. My car is a relatively clean Polestar 2 (4 weeks out the showroom), yet I was charged the maximum price (reduced to £275 upon agreement to write a review) without any explanation as to why it fell into the top price bracket. I still don't understand what additional work or level of detailing justified the difference between this and a much cheaper interior valet elsewhere. The biggest disappointment was the communication. I was initially told the windscreen sticker had been attempted, but during our follow-up conversation it became clear that it hadn't actually been, even though the detailer explicitly told me it had, which he later admitted was false. I'd have much preferred an honest explanation from the outset. When I asked for it to be removed again when the detailer came back, I was advised to take it to a specialist vinyl wrapping company instead, which isn't something I would expect to be told after paying £275 for a professional detailing service. It was only during the follow-up visit to my house, after I had complained, and I heard every single reason under the sun why it couldn't be removed (insurance purposes, cracking the glass with heat, burning the surrounds to the windscreen), that the sticker was finally removed (in about 5 minutes) using my girlfriend's hairdryer and one of my own bank cards. Afterwards, the sticker remnants and debris were left on both the car and my driveway for me to vacuum up myself, as he drove away explaining he had places to be. With regard to the headlining, I completely understand the explanation that it couldn't be cleaned using wet methods because of the risk of damaging the adhesive, and I respect that decision if that was genuinely the case. However, the headlining still had visible mud, fluff and debris on it, and there didn't appear to have been any attempt to improve it using dry methods such as careful vacuuming. Instead, I was simply advised to use a lint roller myself. Overall, the finished car looks good and I'm pleased with the improvement to the seats and interior. My disappointment lies with the value for money, the lack of pricing transparency and the overall customer experience. Rather than listening to my concerns and resolving them professionally, I felt that some of the explanations I was given were inconsistent, my concerns about the price were dismissed with the comment that they decide what the service costs, I was advised to seek additional specialist services at my own expense for work I believed should have been included, and I was given lengthy technical explanations instead of straightforward answers. Those aspects left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously, despite being pleased with the final appearance of the car.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely outstanding service from Grand Car Washes! My car genuinely looks better than the day I bought it. Every inch of the interior and exterior was spotless and Caden clearly takes so much pride in his work! Caden is so friendly, professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell he really cares about delivering a high-quality finish rather than just rushing through the job. I couldn’t recommend Grand Car Washes highly enough!!!

Took my Audi to Caden at Grand Car Washes for a full detail and I’m really impressed with the result. The car came back looking spotless inside and out, and you can tell a lot of care went into it. The paint looks great, the interior is immaculate, and it honestly feels like a new car again. Caden was friendly, professional, and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quality detail. I’ll be back 100%
