Metro carwash

I never leave negative review but I had to today. This was somewhere that I use to go to all the time and now I have no idea what’s happened. The price is clearly states as £25 and they were demanding £40 to clean the car. They said “Boss isn’t here so it’s £40” I am sorry what!? It says open from 9AM and I got here at 10:20AM and it didn’t look like anyone was working and they were all sat chilling. Don’t think they wanted to work so have me a ridiculous price so I have to leave. Honestly I am super disappointed. Avoid at all cost. I am 30 years old and this is first negative review ever.

I don't recommend. First time coming to this car wash. I have a Mazda 2 car, it's considered a small car. However, they don't service small cars anymore so I asked for the large car mini valet for £20. This service included - wash/dry, wax, interior vacuum and dash clean. The person there said my car was very dirty (carpets were only littered with left over winter leaves) so they wanted £35, I said "Your charging me for a large van?" He responded "No, your car is very, very dirty". So my small car is considered a large van which transports material to building sites? No wonder when I was waiting people were leaving after talking to them. Don't go to these people if you want to be scammed.

Disgusting service and behaviour upon being asked if they have a proper micro fiber to dry the car (they used an old dirty cloth which left water marks on the car). Not worth the money, as they said they have loads of customers and don’t care. Had better car washes for nearly half the price.

Mini valet £20. Good price. ONLY if they clean the car. Spent 15 mins on it leaving dirty sills. Did they hoover? I can’t tell if they did. Twig left in boot so didn’t do the boot, clearly. Don’t bother if you want a clean car. 😏

Terrible service today. Really disappointed. Asked for mini valet, chap agreed. They started on outside, opened one of the doors to wash the sill and the foul language about the inside of my car and that it would cost £100 to clean! It was dry mud from footy matches at weekend and a car seat mat which I didn't want cleaning just a hoover (it's only a couple weeks old) it genuinely wasn't that bad. I said I'd just like it hoovered and the sills wiping, but the foul language and refusal to do it followed. I said just finish the outside then which was £10. I got home cleaned the inside myself which took half hour. Noticed the outside still had bird poop on and the alloys hadn't been touched. Took it back and asked the chap to clean the alloys and the bird poop. He said they don't clean off bird poop and it wouldn't come off, I used my thumb to wipe it and it came straight off, did the same with the alloy. I said I've paid for a clean car and it's not clean. I asked who was in charge and he said there was no boss in today and that he wouldnt clean it. I said I want a refund or you can clean the alloys and the bird poop. He said he wouldnt refund me, he sprayed alloys wiped down and same with the bird poop, rinsed off. Still not done properly but better than initial attempt. Couldnt deal with arguing the toss any further. Would not recommend, nor ever use again. Had that been someone elderly or vulnerable that would have been very intimidating to voice up any concerns over the job being done soo poorly. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Awful - did a mini valet. When leaving they didnt even hoover well. Didnt even wipe down the dash. Such poor service. Avoid and save your money to another car wash

AVOID! Would give zero stars if I could. These guys used to be the best & always used to bring my car here but twice I’ve taken my car here to be cleaned recently & both times the guys have been sat around doing nothing with no one there (speaks volumes really) asked for a mini valet clean (inside & out) they said they couldn’t do inside clean as there wasn’t enough time (bare in mind NOONE else was there & it was only 5:20pm at this point, they close at 6pm) I was confused at why they refused to do this service but I just accepted it, they cleaned the outside of my car which took them 5 mins, I only have a small car & it should have cost me only £7 as stated on their prices, they took my £10 & never gave me my change, I just decided to leave it. I brought my car back the week after for an inside clean, again well within their opening hours & again NOONE was there & I asked for them to clean the inside of my car. They point blank refused to clean the inside of my car, insisting to do only the outside again, I explained they only cleaned the outside of my car last week & this week I wanted the inside doing, they literally refused to clean my car ( only wanting to do the outside) LAZY LAZY MEN for you!! 😂😂 when I said I wouldn’t bring my car here again they literally walked off & didn’t care.

The two lads working as a team. Did an excellent mini valet for me. Really pleased

Avoid at all costs. Despite the price list they will try to charge double. Theres a better one on Thynne Street

Went for a wash and vac and they broke my window buttons and claimed they didn't do it although it wasn't like that when I pulled in

Really friendly service and very quick, went to have a tire changed and was done in minutes, really good valet service as well with an area to wait in whilst your car is being worked on.

I went to wash my car and they let an inexperienced person to drive it who drove it into the curb and broke the drive shaft and when I went to collect my car they denied and told me I brought it that way! They’re aren’t reliable and you will make a grave mistake trusting them with your car so don’t make my mistake.

Its my local carwash and I always go there. Never disappointed very good very cheap and friendly staff
