I called into Graham Martins on the off chance that they could help me after struggling to fix a door latching cable on a 320D of all the soppy jobs, I just couldn’t re-assemble it for some ungodly reason!!..They couldn’t fit me in on the day but did the very next morning while I waited, they were very polite and courteous fixed the problem for me and I was elated because the MOT was urgent and obviously had to tax it.. So, thank you chaps did me a great service that day, I would definitely return and recommend..

Spoke to Dave booked my car 2 days notice for diagnostic, there was noise coming from underneath vehicle. Dave said when you arrive we will have one of technicians go out on test drive. Arrived, sat with technicians he knew straight away were noise was coming from. It was stone blocked inside brake calipers. Technicians cleared stone and took test drive and noise had gone!! Brilliant place there are proper specialist highly recommended..lovley staff and technicians!!

I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a garage at Graham Martin Automotive Ltd. From the very first phone call, they told me they normally do not accept jobs where the customer supplies their own parts. I asked specifically: “What if I buy a genuine BMW part?” and was told that would be fine. On that basis, I booked my BMW 8 Series Gran Coupé 840i in for a window regulator replacement. The day before the appointment, I rang to confirm the drop-off time. They told me to bring the car at 8:30am. I said perfect, as my part had just arrived. The person on the phone asked what item it was. When I said “the regulator I’ll be supplying,” he immediately asked who had allowed that booking. I explained I didn’t know the name, but when I first booked I made it absolutely clear that I would supply an original BMW regulator. At no point did I ever claim it was brand new — it was a genuine BMW part, but a used one. I dropped the car off with the window fully rolled up. Later, I got a call saying the part was “wrong” and they would not start the work. They claimed the part number didn’t match, which was simply not true. When I collected the car, they had left my 840i with the window stuck down and taped a plastic bag across the trim to stop rain entering. That is how they returned my car to me. Not only did they refuse to do the work, but the owner even told me to “try another mechanic” — not even a BMW specialist, just a random body shop garage. If they truly think they are BMW specialists, then I must be an astronaut. He never once offered to order the part himself and complete the job, which would have been the professional response. Instead, he effectively admitted the part was correct but still refused to fit it, saying in a roundabout way: “I cannot tell you that this is the correct item as it is the correct item. But go to a body shop garage and they might do it for you.” I then went to a small independent garage in Oldham (Gemstone Garage, Unit 1c, Lavenham Business Centre, OL9 7AH). Despite being hidden away in a storage unit, they fitted the regulator within two hours with no issues whatsoever. The part was 100% correct. If I had trusted Graham Martin Automotive’s false claims, I would have thrown away a perfectly good BMW regulator. The truth is they simply didn’t want to do the job because they make their profit by supplying the parts themselves. To make matters worse, the owner later admitted he had never even checked the regulator and instead blamed the receptionist. That avoidance of responsibility speaks volumes about how the business is run. If the owner replies to this review, whatever he says is not true. They knew the part was genuine, they knew from the start that I would be supplying it, and they deliberately misled me once they realised it was used. Their walls are covered with framed awards and “approved” certificates, but these are meaningless. Just marketing props, like every other “best of the year” claim you see online. My experience was the opposite of award-winning — it was dishonest, unprofessional, and disgraceful. Avoid this garage at all costs. Perhaps they can handle simple jobs like brake pads and discs, but when it comes to anything more complex — do not trust them. I work as a driving instructor, and I will be spreading the word to all of my learners. This was not just poor service — what I experienced with my BMW 8 Series 840i was the behaviour of a dishonest mechanic. Look at the state they give me my car back 1st picture. When I dropped the car to them, my Window was 99.99% up. The 2nd picture, its after was fixed with the item that the owner of that dishonest place said that is not fitting. And that was fixed by some random guys in a small Garage. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I also added the business card of the garage that fixed my car for everyone that is looking for an honest mechanic.

The reason I recommend this place is because I rang them on that day regarding a problem with my bmw and I asked if I could take it straight down which was fine to see what the problem was and they explained what was wrong so I have booked the bmw in with them so it can be fixed. They where polite and very welcoming. It is also very clean and easy to find.

If i could give 0 stars i would!! Paid nearly 4 thousand pound for the work needed on my car.Only to get it back and it instantly break down again within 5 miles of driving. Took it back on a tow truck for them to rectify. A week later i get a phonecall to tell me my car is working and there happy for me to collect aslong as i am happy which i said im happy to collect it if its fixed which they insisted it was. They give it me back once again still not right in limp mode so i took it back again. Then another week later in total a month from first dropping the car off they phone me and tell me it needs another £3.500 to be fixed.So all in they wanted nearly £7.500 I had no car for a month £4000 down and the car still isnt fixed. Maybe im just a unlucky customer because the garage itself does seem very reputible but from my experience i will never use or recommend them to anybody absolutley awful customer experience from them.

Took my car originally due to a horn issue, I was told I need a new airbag, £900+ later, the issue persisted. As it was still covered by warranty, I took it back over a period of 12 MONTHS. Each time they said its been fixed until the 13 months were over, I was then told they can't find the issue, they'll need to strip the dash board out and it'll be a 2-3 day job and cost over £1000+. I took it the BMWizard in Oswestry, who advised someone's battered the earth connection behind the wheel and it's all bent and done a terrible job, metal bent everywhere, damage to the the outside of the wheel trying to take it off. They unsent the metal connection and the horn has been working eversince. Cost? £72. Graham Martin charged over £900 for an airbag which clearly wasn't needed and quoted what could have been possibly £1000+ more. BMWizard also said, you could just get a new or 2nd steering wheel which would solve the problem if it happens again in the future. Go to BMWizard. Honestly the car was in and out in 41 minutes.

First time using Graham Martin after purchasing my Mini Cooper S and they have been brilliant. A week ago, I’d taken my car in for an inspection after purchasing just to rule out any issues and give it a once over, they identified some issues and suggested how they could be rectified. A week later, after I’d gotten in touch with the dealership I’d purchased the vehicle from to see if they’d sort the repair, which I was then able to get Graham Martin to fix. Graham Martin was more than happy to assist liaising with the dealership and went the extra mile to make this process as smooth as possible. Will be using again, thanks!
