Our Take

Reviewers report that the car wash charges £10 for a wash that often lacks soap, with ticket codes sometimes failing and only one machine operational, leading to waits of up to 50 minutes. Customers also risk a £60 parking fine for exceeding the 30-minute site limit while queuing for or using the wash.

⭐ 1 STAR – Worst BP experience I’ve had I visited this BP station on my motorcycle and stopped at pump number 10 to refuel. To my surprise, the pump was not activated. The staff told me to move forward to another pump instead. I politely asked why pump 10 could not be used, and I was told that motorcycles were only allowed to use the front pump. When I asked why there was no sign explaining this rule, the staff member claimed that there was a sign. However, I carefully looked around and could not see any visible sign at all. The staff member named Jimmy was, in my experience, unfriendly, unhelpful, and appeared annoyed from the beginning. Rather than explaining the situation professionally, he gave poor customer service and made customers feel unwelcome. The manager wearing a head covering was also not helpful and did not make any effort to resolve the issue or assist customers. To make matters worse, the toilets were extremely dirty and poorly maintained, which is unacceptable for a major petrol station. I also noticed bakery staff handling food without wearing gloves, which raised serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. This station seriously needs improvements in: * Customer service training * Staff attitude and professionalism * Cleanliness of facilities * Food hygiene standards * Clear signage for motorcycle refuelling rules Customers should not be expected to guess station policies. If motorcycles are restricted from using certain pumps, there should be clear and visible signs. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I hope BP management investigates these issues and improves the standards at this station. ⭐ 1/5 – I would not recommend this station based on my experience.

Previously a regular customer for years at this station, for both petrol and the self-serve jet-wash. Received a fine recently for staying beyond the maximum permitted stay (30 minutes) despite being a paying customer. Emailed BP careline, received an automatic email of acknowledgement and no human response yet. I have called their phone number twice to ask for updates. Was reassured the first time that I would without a doubt receive an update before the weekend; this didn't happen. Second call I told them I was practically out of time and needed to pay before the fine amount increases. Again the service agent was completely unhelpful, had no idea when they will get back to my email and if the fine will even be waived. I found the whole customer support useless. On the other hand, I now know to never wash or fill up my car at any BP out of principle. Good job, hope having parking practices that turn customers off you for good was worth it.

Fails at its one task - dispensing petrol. Not sure what automatic camera system it uses but without fail I'll have to shimmy around to get petrol to dispense. Only petrol station I've ever encountered this problem at, and it consistently happens every time.

They enforce a strict 30 minute limit on paying customers. If you queue for the car wash and then use it, you will be issued a £60 PCN for “overstaying”. If you come here, set a timer and leave before 30 minutes are up - even if you are still in line, paying, washing your car, or buying something on site. Charging customers a parking fine for the “privilege” of using their services is unacceptable.

I would like to raise a concern regarding a member of staff named Savi. During my visits, I have found his attitude towards customers to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Customer service is an important part of any business, and such behaviour can negatively affect the experience of customers. In my opinion, this reflects poorly on the BP petrol station and may damage the company’s reputation. I hope management will look into this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that all customers are treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.

The toilet has been “temporarily” closed for a very long time 🚽 Fuel and food here are not exactly cheap, which makes the situation even more disappointing. I would honestly be happy to pay just for the option to use a working restroom. It’s frustrating to fill up your car and only then discover the toilet is closed. If I had known in advance, I would have stopped at a different petrol station.

This place always has issues with their toilet. Extremely frustrating when stopping and needing to use their facilities, especially as a pregnant woman. On my last visit the ladies was out of service so staff told me I could use the men’s, but the state of them was absolutely disgusting. If you’re going to provide toilets, please keep them clean!

Since you’ve decided to replace staff with machines the few employees that are there seem to be bouncing between making coffees trying to serve people, & the last thing on their priority list is turning on the pump so you could refuel. This is primarily a fuel station, please remember that. hire more staff or install self service pumps, maybe get rid of all humans for an all round miserable experience.

The carwash experience was unsatisfactory. Customers are charged £10 for a wash that lacks soap. Please be aware that carwash ticket codes may not always be functional. I consistently photograph receipts and lengthy queues as a precautionary measure against potential parking citations. A 50-minute wait was incurred due to only one car wash machine being operational. The facility appears to be poorly managed, and corporate headquarters should be apprised of these issues to prevent customer attrition.

THIS IS THE MOST AWFUL GAS STATION IN LONDON I'VE EVER SEEN. ALL THE STAFF ARE VERY SULKY AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. I PAID A £60 FINE BECAUSE I WAITED OVER 30 MINUTES AT THE STATION WHILE TRYING TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO THE CONVENIENCE STAFF AND THE MANAGER. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN UP ZERO POINTS, ALTHOUGH EVEN ZERO IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU. I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST CLOSE THE STATION AND LEAVE!!!!!!!

And again they close the car wash… they say it’s too cold, it’s 3 Celsius so nothing is freezing but there is no reasoning. Service at this station is dismal- no understanding and so unreasonable. And management is silent, no one to talk to, no one responds. And yet we keep going and giving them our business…
