Splash 2 CAR WASH

Disappointing experience today. I’ve been coming sporadically for a while and have usually found them good enough, better than others, and the people are generally nice. Also, I always check for signs of modern day slavery, and have trusted this car wash. I don’t usually write negative reviews because I respect people are trying they’re best. However unfortunately I have to conclude from today’s experience that if you are a younger woman and/or have an older car/not a BMW or Audi, then you really have to fight to receive an equal service here. Today I decided to splurge and have a full valet. Instead of the £25 advertised for small cars the woman told me it would be £30 because “prices have gone up today”. I’m not sure if that’s true, because she then made a comment about my car being dirty (there were a few bits of leaves on the passenger carpet from being in the countryside). Anyway, very reluctantly I agreed, but hoped they’d do a thorough job and it would be worth it in the end. Uncomfortably, however, I found I had to point out several areas for them to correct when they’d finished. I don’t like doing this and I don’t really feel I should have to. £30 is no small sum! And when I asked about the roof not actually being clean (see photo) I was told that I’d have to pay £40 for a hand finish. What’s the point of paying for a valet if there’s still bird poo?! Sadly the worst thing about all this is the bias I experienced. I really had hoped my feeling on previous occasions was not correct, but unfortunately I have to conclude from standing there and seeing them pay much better attention and care to other’s cars that it is not an equal service. If you’re a guy with a modern BMW you’ll be fine. I wish I was wrong. Really, really disappointing.

AVOID THIS CAR WASH REALLY POOR JOB . Car wasn’t clean at all . When I complained that it was still dirty inside and out he said that’s what you get with a basic Clean. had just bought the car so it wasn’t even dirty but I just wanted it looking brand spanking new . I barely noticed they had touched it except the floor mats were still wet . When I complained that it wasn’t properly done even for a ‘ basic clean ‘ he came with a dirty cloth and rubbed the marks and grime they had left and got a Hoover and hovered the floor .. but it still wasn’t cllean . he was SO rude and had a really couldn’t care less attitude. His attitude was you pay £20 for a basic clean so you don’t get a proper one . He mentioned basic at least 3 times .

Save your money. Car was left dirty. And staff were rude aggressive and shouty when I pointed out the dirt. They rush it to get it done as fast as possible I ended up recleaning the interior after they charged me for it but done a poor job. It’s so obvious that they are gossiping about you in their language right in front of your face. In future I’m using Tesco car wash.

Paid £30 for In-N-Out and my car still dirty. I asked them to clean the inside but they didn’t really know how to and now the doors and the inside is still muddy and there’s dust on the inside.. there are many other car wash places that are cheap cheaper and do a lot better job.

Very competitive price and wonderful service! Plus the ice cream van was being washed so we got a free ice cream! Thx for getting my car so nice!

First time experience: Over price and under delivered. Went in for a mini-valet and the owner/manager assured men he will 'look after me' Started getting the car cleaned and by the time they were done they rushed me to pay and rushed me off. I had to Park on a nearby road and ask for a cloth to continue cleaning myself. I spent another 20-30 minutes cleaning the car with photo evidence of the cleaning cloth I used attached to this review. I had to go back because they forgot to clean the top part of the windows properly. Manager/owner then says I'm 'asking for too much' 🙃🥲 - clean windows were part of a standard 'in&out' last time I checked 🤔 Maybe this next point is entitlement but after getting your highest paid service I didn't even get a car air freshner to go; has my local spoilt me this much? Some of their sprays smell nice so 1-star for having nice smelling products.

Found it to be the best car wash around. Good price for all the extras they do and nice friendly staff.

Been here twice and they do a good job inside and out. Nice bunch of people and the guv'nor keeps his eye on them. I'll be back!

Terrible wash, car left with marks still on the outside. Hoovering was very rushed had to make them do it twice over. The lady cleaning the inside had a terrible attitude when I pointed out the crumbs still on the seat. She said you need to pay more for a better clean! Dirty cloths used to dry car down. Not worth the £30

Went to get my car washed , they were leering over me , made me feel really uncomfortable, I also left £10 on the rear seat of my car and when I got back in, it was gone. Expensive, not comfortable and they are thieves! Would never go again.

Not great experience this car wash is over priced for general London. And they have tricky way to charge over the priced is been written.. Not that great service in cleaning service the don't vacuum very well between the Seat . I hope they can change there attitude

They used to be great but it is now appalling. £30 for a medium-sized car but they don’t hoover properly, don’t wash the fuel cap, don’t clean around the doors and you will have to hoover it again as soon as you get home. They actually asks whether you the ‘really good’ clean inside or the £30 pounds one. What does that mean?

This place lures you in with false advertising, claiming to wash small cars for £10, medium cars for £15, and large cars for £20. But once you're there, they reveal their true nature. After washing my small car, they told me it was ready, but when I pointed out that the interior hadn’t been hoovered, I was told in broken English by an intimidating woman that it would cost an additional £15—more than 150% of the advertised price! When I questioned this, she just laughed and said, “Our price,” as if that’s supposed to be an explanation. The atmosphere was intimidating, with several men working there who barely spoke any English. They create a sense of pressure, making you feel like you have no choice but to pay these outrageous extra charges. It’s a clear case of entrapment, designed to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. These people are nothing short of car wash pirates, preying on anyone who steps onto their lot. The good reviews they have must be fake because I can’t imagine anyone having a genuine positive experience here. I urge everyone to stay far away from Splash2Car Wash. If you go there, be prepared to be pressured and overcharged. This is not just a minor inconvenience—it’s a scam, and it’s designed to exploit the vulnerable. Protect yourself and your loved ones by avoiding this place at all costs.

I've driven past this car wash for the last 23 years without ever using it, but today, 24/5/2024, I decided to give it a try. I was so impressed! It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. I'll be using them whenever I'm in the area.
