Smart hand car wash

I have just returned from this car wash after a terrible experience. I am a retired man and was taking my car (white Kia) to be washed. Whilst there, I was going to leave it and go to Tesco's. I had been to this car wash before but not in a long while. I drove in and a cleaner opened my passenger door and said £20 and cash only (which seems to be the norm and nobody queries this...police/HMRC?). I got out of my car and noticed an argument between the 'boss' small not very nice person and one of the cleaners. it was clearly about my car, but in a language I did not understand. The 'boss' then sidled over to me and starts to ask me bizarre questions...how much did I pay the last time I came? When did I last come? whilst standing close to me and making me feel very uncomfortable. I hadn't been to this wash for probably a year, so said £18/£20, but couldn't really remember, car cleaning price not top of my memory list! Not knowing what was coming next. I was then accused of driving away and not paying the last time. he said a car with my number plates had done this. How you can do this as they keep the keys before you drive off, I don't know??? I asked him to provide the proof (I was still in shock at the accusation). He wanted to call the police, which I invited him to do. Which then changed bizarrely again to tell me to call the police. The whole exchange went on for about 10 minutes whilst I stood my ground. Obviously no police were called. I would say to those about to use this service to avoid. I am sure in the past this rude little man has been rude in the past. As for cash only.... Update: Having now written my review, I am astonished about the sheer number of reviews at how rude the service is. I even asked him to apologise as he had no proof and it really is not in my nature to dry away without paying. Ok mad reply from the 'owner'. The video cameras obviously has sound as my racist abuse of car wash workers is well known. Amazing the first time I didn't pay doesn't seem to be on video?!?! You got Mr Owner, I often turn up at random car washes, drive away without paying, then turn up at a later date, shout racist abuse and then demand my car gets cleaned for free. So if you really believe this, I also own London Bridge and am happy to sell shares in Shergar. I am moving on from this madness, but advise others, if he can say this about me, a very normal person who was not happy with being accused of wrongdoing, carry on putting cash in his pocket. Coz that's where it's going.
