The lady at the front desk is lovely. It's a shame I can't say the same for the individuals that work on the cars. Apparently, my car failed it's MOT drastically. 9 failures, 8 advisories. I called to ask what it had failed on and no one could tell me. Asked for a price for the work doing, no one could tell me Arrived to collect my car and the person that did the MOT wasn't available to speak to, but the other person made a B-Line to speak to my husband, even though it is my car and I had booked it in. I've taken my car to a different garage for a second MOT and there is 2 failures and 2 advisories that will cost no more than £50 to complete. I absolutely would not recommend using this garage and I will be reporting to VOSA. RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!!

My car broke down a few days ago, and I arranged to have it dropped off at Lidgett Garage on the Monday, being taken by my breakdown cover. The woman on the phone was polite and professional, and I was able to get it dropped off that day. Was told later on it would need a full exhaust etc fitting, and that it would be possibly done by the day after. Picked it up just now on the Tuesday and drives great, just a day later - quick and efficient service, and the guy was happy to explain the issue on the old exhaust parts to myself and a family member, really appreciated that. Will definitely use again, thank you!

If I could give more stars I would. Highly recommend this garage to everyone. My car went through two others and did not do what they said, or fitted what my car went in for. Richard from Lidgett garage did all the work and got me cheaper price than anyone else. He was honest and very kind, went over and above what he needed to do to get my car perfect . Can not thank them enough.

Firstly, my apologies to the team at Lidgett Garage for the delay in writing your review. Without any hesitation, I highly recommend the team at Lidgett Garage. Long established business well situated. They quickly established the problem with my vehicle. Hole in the radiator. Due to the overheating. It wasn't going to be a quick fix. The team at Lidgett Garage kept me informed of the time frame of the new part arriving. They worked fast after the part arrived. On pickup my vehicle, I was shown the damage to the radiator. Fantastic Service from the Lidgett Garage Team. No hassle. Booked it in & they did what I asked them to do & did a good job. Something seems very strange with one of the reviews posted. Sounds like they were having a bit of a bad day or an out of body experience ( don't believe everything you read )

Fantastic service from this garage. Went above and beyond to fit me in last minute and carry out an urgent repair. Very friendly, professional and approachable. Would highly recommend!

UPDATE You should have full records for a black VW amarok and a Bule honda civic ivtec that were given to you to do the MOT from challanger garage at hoyland. Both October MOT. So I am definitely not mistaken which garage it was. We never got the bulbs back. Can forward any paperwork onto yourselves if needed so we can be reimbursed for the bulbs for a start? You also failed the VW amarok on the bull bars that were put on by a reputable garage to rip us off. As I said piss take of a garage. And I'm sure if you check your records you will find both cars and my number should you be interested in discussing anything further. Tried twice with mine and partners car. Won't go again. Only place I know that fails if bulbs arnt straight however in full working order and removes them and charges for new bulbs. I has expensive bulbs in my head lights and they were changed to basic ones. Never got my fully working ones back. Bit of a piss take. Did this with both cars

Don't waste your time

I was told my condenser was leaking badly and it would cost me £460 to fix the problem. When i asked for a breakdown of the quote, he couldn't give me an answer on why this amount. I took my car elsewhere and was told my car was fine and there are no leaks or faults at all. This is the 2nd car he has done this with now. Never ever use again. Total scammer.
