The Car Wash Company Cardiff (St David's Dewi Sant Shopping Centre)

We had our car cleaned a month ago, paying for a 'Gold' wash and they did a fantastic job! Cut to last Wednesday, we specifically parked in St David's to have the car washed. Now, our car is generally quite clean, we have no kids or pets, and we're quite OCD; neither was the outside of the car overly dirty. In short, we asked for a Gold wash and was basically harassed into opting for a more expensive wash or else the car wouldn't be clean. The worker was really quite rude and very pushy with zero customer service skills. Needless to say, we drove away without a clean and will not return. Poor show and hugely disappointing.

Very rude man, no customer service whatsoever. I'm absolutely kicking myself for leaving my car after our initial interaction. Very poor attempt at cleaning the car. Should have cost £25 but gave him £30 which I'm even more furious about, as it's the worse job anyone has done on my car. I sincerely hope they go out of business soon as it's a con. Cash only too, I wonder why. AVOID

I am absolutely horrified at the experience I had today at this location. Before going to the Valet I pre-cleaned the inside of my car to make sure it wasn't that big of a job for the workers. Upon arriving at the car valet area I was met by a man who wouldn't even look up from his phone to talk to me. I asked for the gold service and he mumbled at me in a different language. He then proceeded to look at the inside of my car (which was pretty clean) and told me very rudely he wouldn't be cleaning the outside of my car. The gold service is meant to be £24 for a cleaning of both the inside and outside of the car. He then told me very rudely it would be £30 For a cleaning of only the inside of my car. They seemed to just make the price of £30 as this is not what is was signposted as on the boards. he said it would take 2 hours when it says on the website this type of clean should only take 20 minutes. After returning after the 2 hours, I pulled out my debit card to me and he then proceeded to actually shout at me that they don't take card even though all over their signs it says that they accept card. He then said I had to go get cash. I got the cash and he snatched it out of my hand. After saying thank you and starting to walk away, I heard him mumble something about me to his co worker and they they both laughed. This experience was absolutely horrifying and I wouldn't go back to this service even if you paid me. I urge people not to use this service as it is that terrible and they scam you. Also the cleaning they performed was below average and still left my car pretty much the way it was. I am not happy at all.

​I am extremely frustrated with my experience today at the St. Davids Dewi Sant location. I had a booking for the Diamond package (£55.95) for 4:00 PM. Due to difficulty finding the specific location in the car park, I arrived about 30 minutes late. ​When I finally arrived, the staff member seemed impatient and clearly wanted to leave. Because of this, the service was rushed—the entire job took only about 15 minutes. For a "Diamond" package that costs over £55, the quality of work was unacceptable; it was a rushed job that I could have easily done better myself at home. ​I would have much preferred the staff member to be honest and tell me they couldn't accommodate me due to my late arrival rather than rushing through a subpar clean just to get out of there. I feel like I completely wasted my money. I will not be using this service again.

Paid almost £100 for deluxe interior and exterior and it’s almost as if they’ve just given it a wipe with hand sanitiser and that’s it. Told me it would be 1.5-2hrs but ended up taking 2hr 40 and I can’t see what they did in that time! Wing mirrors and door handles still filthy, seats and door pockets haven’t even been hoovered, and boot floor hadn’t even been touched. Have had to book it in somewhere else to rectify as all surfaces are now sticky and horrible to touch due to cheap cleaning supplies used. Don’t waste your time and money!

Absolutely terrible service, avoid this place at all cost, I have paid extra for deep interior clean and even point to them where to clean but they just didnt clean it at all. I emailed them straightaway, no one replied. Tried to call, nothing as well. I will never use their service or recommend anyone to use theirs ever again.

SHOCKING!!!!!. when i asked for platinum the guy said go for diamond its a better clean. I said platinum is ok mate thinking how cheeky he is demanding more!!! Came back car looked like it hadnt even had the wax cleaned off it. Got inside and crispy marks where still on gear stick & dash. Got home went in boot and my rubbish from car dumbed in boot if I thought my day couldn't get any worse it did scratches all over car mud and dust where in some of the creases in car. Anyway couple days gone by looked at my front grill and what ever cheap acid shit they use has stripped the paint off my front grill. Im fumming here where to go getting a claim for my grill Also just looked at your site you dont use an water pressure to get any of the shit off the car thats why your scratching cars and have the shit is still on the car. How are you guys still open will be going to trading standards . Paid £35 to have my car damaged. Will never go here ever again!!!!!! Worst car wash to date.

Honestly glad I dodged the bullet. Was going to come and post a poor review as they refuse to carry out the majority of their options on the weekend. Was an obvious ploy to up sell claiming "we have to do the higher package to make sure the customer is happy". Told them we weren't looking for perfection, just a quick wash and vac and that I wasnt willing to pay double because they recommended it - they refused, so we just left and parked up as normal and took it to my local afterwards who were more than happy to oblige. Curiosity satisfied I won't be bothering to even ask them again.

Went to ask for car wash pricing and was made to feel like I couldn’t afford it. The staff literally said, “we are not a normal car wash,” in a very dismissive tone. Poor attitude and unwelcoming experience. Won’t be returning.

Very disappointing service, only good service was the speedy refund! We booked the so-called ‘platinum’ service, prepaid in advance. We arrived and were immediately confronted by a staff member who took one look at our car and aggressively told us that we had not paid for the correct service. When he listed the extra costs it would have costed in excess of £120. His attitude from the start was aggressive, confrontational and patronising. Essentially told us he would do a half-baked job for what we had paid. I was upset by this interaction and felt threatened as did my wife, and I can understand other reviews where people have been taken advantage of or harassed into paying extra for a substandard service. I will actively be telling this story to as many people as possible so that they don’t go through a similar experience.

Honestly, this was a huge disappointment. I paid £135.96 for the “Delux (Full Valet) + Soft Top Cleaner” package at the Cardiff St. David’s location, and I seriously don’t understand what I paid for. The soft top wasn’t cleaned at all, even though I paid extra for it. Inside the car, the seats still had visible marks, the centre console wasn’t even opened, and the rear seats and rear centre console were left untouched. There were surface stains and fingerprints that any proper valet should have dealt with easily, they just didn’t bother. To make it worse, the guy told me he’d call me when it was done, never happened. I came back to find my car just sitting there, completely unlocked. I had the key on me, sure, but leaving a customer’s car like that with no update is just careless. What if I had valuables inside? For nearly £136, I expected actual attention to detail. Instead, it feels like I got a rushed, half-done job. Definitely won’t be coming back, and I’d think twice before recommending this place to anyone. I think i deserve my money back. Edit: Following my review, I was contacted by the company and offered a 50% refund, which I appreciate. It’s good to see that my concerns were acknowledged and steps were taken to address them. While the experience was disappointing, I hope this leads to better service for future customers.

Terrible service paid £28 for the car to still have small scuff marks & dust everywhere. Service provider said he had done the service even when shown all the dust & marks

Always a top job from the lads in St davids, never any issues.. they always look after my car 100% care and attention to detail.

Went for a carwash yesterday and the guy was insisting I always went there but like it was only my second time going in there. Paid for diamond last time and it was decent. Got the same thing and couldn't tell if it was properly clean because it was slightly dark when i picked up the car. But I checked this morning and it was not cleaned properly. WORST £25 i spend. rather go to other places. They only put effort in when you have a nice car tbh. Left the worst streak mark on my dash and other places. carpet wasn't cleaned and hoovered properly.

Excellent service, very friendly and the car was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend.

My wife took our car here today to get cleaned as she was in work. They told her be £100 for the inside and outside. She came back to collect the car and have found our mats have all been ripped and the clips that hold them in are snapped! There is still dirt on the car that they said they couldn't remove which i managed to remove with just a damp cloth in 2 seconds. Wheels are still dirty so is the boot which doesn't look like they have even bothered to try and clean! Highly recommend avoid using this place. Seems like they took full advantage of my wife when she went there on her own!

Booked online for the gold service. When I arrived the man complained the car was too dirty. After phoning his boss and trying to get more money out of me finally agreed to do the job. Returned to find that basic hoovering of the inside was not done properly and wheels were still covered in mud. Needless to say I will not be using again.

Gold service sold to me as being an exterior and interior clean at a high level. Returned after 90 mins and could not tell car had been done as it was so dirty on both the inside and outside. The boot had not been vacuumed, all the basic dirt from the windscreen, car body and rear had not at all been cleaned and I rubbed a large circular mark with my finger, which instantly came off. The windscreen and rear window still had the bird poo and dust from when I brought it in. When challenged as to why this was not done the man was extremely rude and aggressive immediately and said “stop talking and pay me”. He claimed, after accepting the job and saying how sparkling and clean they would make it, that one hour was nowhere near enough time to clean a car and that he uses a bit of solution on the outside but does not wipe individual marks. I have my car cleaned regularly and for less than what I paid here I have always had a far better service everywhere else. This place has aggressive staff who offer a service claiming it to be high quality, but don’t deliver and aggressively demand that you pay them when they haven’t done the job in the first place. Disgusting behaviour all round. I am taking my car to be properly cleaned tomorrow.

First time using this car wash st David's shopping centre cardiff 23/7/24 not impressed at all paid 35 for a full Polish and clean inside and out and vacuum. Didn't vacuum the boot and door sils weren't cleaned absolute ripp off, and I'm furious, never again will I use this sloppy ripp off car wash
