Hove Station Hand Car Wash

i work locally and have to frequently pass this car wash. every time i walk past on my own i am catcalled by the workers here. they are absolutely disgusting and i do not feel safe as a young woman walking past alone, it’s to the point where i have to ask coworkers to come with me. it shouldn’t be this way, as if there’s nobody available i have to choose between getting lunch and being harassed, or not getting lunch and being left alone. please find elsewhere, especially if you are a female.

Terrible washing of our car, wheels stayed dirty, water marks everywhere, bug marks still stuck to the front. Might have well have taken my £35 and threw it on a random football bet, probably would have had better odds of winning than my car coming back looking clean from this place. Avoid.

Just no attention to detail what so ever. Will never be going back again. Plus the person drying my car was smoking a cigarette and the ash fell on my car and I had to ask him to wipe it off which they did reluctantly.

Do not waste your money here

So rude - returning a long term rental and wanted advice on some superficial scratches and if a wax would help. Was told this is not my job I’m not a garage. Should have driven off. Expensive for the quality of clean. Avoid

This used to be a decent enough hand car with reasonable attention to detail, but over the past 6-months, not only is it expensive, but also very poor value, with smeared glass, wet door jambs, dripping sills and streaks on the paintwork. It should be renamed Slap-dash and Shoddy. Real shame - the same applies to the one near Preston Park which opens when it can be bothered and wants to sell you dodgy secondhand or budget tyres on every visit!

Very quick and cleaned my pretty car well. No wax or anything special. Will defo go back

After reading all the bad reviews and nearly avoiding the most convenient car wash to me, I decided to go and make my own mind up, I’m glad I did, they were polite, efficient, no bartering, wash pay and go, understand everyone is looking for different things but if you just need a quick service get the debris and bird poo off your car, it’s great! 👍🏻

Used for the first time as it was near to work. Won’t be going back. Damaged my van (I was told ‘all vans have this problem’), the wash and dry wasn’t great, very rude staff. I’ll go back to my usual place from now on. Awful.

Look it was fine. But in honesty, somewhat overpriced, rushed and the staff whilst friendly felt a little shady.

What the heck, I have to give one star for this?! I paid £35 for a mini-valet and all they did is smear around the dirt, no door and boot shuts / car was still soapy and wet on bottom end and whole rear end with streaks of dirt and water. Hoovering was VERY poor with not real effort made even though I made sure the car was completely empty and even took out the matts for them so they wouldn't just hoover around them like they normally do. Some sort of greasy glossing spray on plastics with only half of it actually wiped off, sprayed on leather seats and not wiped. ZERO detail on any aspect of this £35 clean, just gunk sprayed around. Windows not properly clean, if anything made worse. Alloys not properly clean at all. There was so much wrong and with the seemingly "bothered" staff I didn't bother trying to get them to do it right as it was ALL crap. This is the last time I'm ever going there again. I haven't been for a long time because the last few times were bad too.. This place is a joke.

Only had the inside cleaned (not boot) £15, they were quick but it wasnt left very clean compared to other companies ive used. Dirt still left in compartments seemed rushed. Wont use again.

They only take cash, but have been in business for 25 yrs. they dried the car with wet rags. It was an okay service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!! Treated me with absolute disdain this morning as I was trying to understand the cost of a car wash/ clean. They seemed to be making up prices based on how dirty they considered my car and were generally rude and unhelpful- went elsewhere and suggest you do too

Having visited here several times prior, the quality and attention provided during a car wash has dropped significantly of late. There appears to be new management and increasingly a willingness to miss steps within their car wash. Previously they have washed car rims diligently and when I highlighted they hadn't been done this time, the manager said they had already been cleaned. Disappointing and frankly dishonest. Will be my last attendance at this local car wash. I would not recommend attending here.

Black Skoda. Wash and no valet. Told it was £15 cash only. Communication sadly lacking. Reliance on hand signs and gestures. Washing superficial. Drying lousy. Had to ask that door seals be cleaned/wiped. Back and boot of car still wet despite their telling me it was finished. Asked it be dried properly. Tokenism effort to address this. Explained that dried water marks stained the paintwork but it fell on deaf ears and I decided it was a waste of breath. Dried at home. Cloth left filthy. Near side wheels cleaned satisfactorily. Offside wheels had to be washed at home. On the way out the road is broken up and there are potholes that are filled with gravel and dirty water which you have no choice but to drive through. Left alot to be desired and very little, if anything, to redeem it. I won’t be returning.

Not great, lots of smears, dirt remaining, took in a van, didn't do the roof - which I didn't ask them to do but they didn't check.
