Tesco Car Wash

Cheaper than hand car wash but not as good. You have to go into the petrol station to buy a ticket/code to use on the machine. It's not tap to pay. The prices as in the picture.

You need to buy a ticket from inside the petrol station kiosk - there is no signs to inform you of this so lots of people wait in the queue for ages only to not be able to tap and pay. We made this mistake our first time through. The wash itself is fine, more convenient than trying to wash the car at home.

Unfortunately, I will not be using this car wash ever again. It completely ripped my rear window wiper apart. When I went to the till to let them know what happened, they very kindly told me this has happened before and had to close down the car wash so other vehicles wouldn't get damaged. After spending quite a long time filling in a claim with Tesco, I felt quite confident that I would be compensated for the damage. A few weeks later I was contacted by Tesco's insurance company telling me there is a sign at the entrance of the car wash stating they cannot accept liability for any damage caused during use and I would not be compensated. How disappointing! If at least Tesco would have offered replacing the wiper I would have been happy as I understand accidents happen. But if I would have know I would have been wasting my time filling in claims then I would have just gotten it repaired. I had to then go around and get quotes to get the car wiper repaired. Cheapest is £130. I usually wash my car myself by hand but been told that using a car wash uses less water and is more eco friendly. Needless to say I will be continuing washing by hand myself.
