Banstead Hand Car Wash

I’m fed up with this place. Every time I show up, three attendants swarm my car like it’s a rare exhibit at a museum. They all look at it, puff out their lips and dramatically inhale, ‘Ooh, that’s dirty. You’re going to have to pay a premium.’ Of course it’s dirty – that’s why I’ve bought it here! I didn’t bring it in for a fashion critique, I brought it for a wash. Avoid. Only interested in overcharging.

Took an SUV here 3 weeks ago as it was being sold. Asked for the gold service and left. On return the car was spotless and we considered not selling it. We paid the advertised price and left very happy. Today I took my mini there and asked for the same treatment (advertised at £45). The guy says it will be £110. I say why and explain the SUV service we had. He then says £60. I say why. He says it is “dirty”! So I drive away angry and would never use them again. Instead I drove a couple of miles to Epsom and got what I wanted at the advertised price.

Terrible, very expensive and rubbish job.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Was told if he'd seen the car before I'd paid he would have charged me double. It really wasn't that bad. Already expensive why spend it there when you could pay less at Epsom and get no abuse!

The man here is rude, abusive, highly aggressive and confrontational and thinks it is acceptable to insult, belittle and try to humiliate customers to try to charge more money. Very high prices, rushed and poor quality service and the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. Literally abusive. This is not a one off and many of my friends have had similar experiences. Never again.

Wouldn’t recommend, Took my car there once to get it washed right at the end of the day and regret it now massively, had two problems with my car since, one with the air con/vents and also caused an issue with my break pedal which I ended up having to pay for. Steer clear of this place, there’s a reason it only has a few reviews. 👎

Have used this car wash many times, always happy with the results. They are in a good location, nice staff, would use again 👍

Good carwash

Wouldn’t recommend and won’t return. £30 service for in an out. Poor cleaning carried out inside and I had to point out places they’ve missed, both front and rear. Also got a PCN because the car wash attendant requested the car to parked somewhere that isn’t one of their spaces but failed to mention I needed to then pay for a ticket. Not a good service and over priced for quality.

Rubbish cleaning and very overpriced. Rude staff and take a very long time to clean. Streaks everywhere, dusty and the floors on the interiors were still dirty. Do not reccomend.

As a disabled person it's not possible to clean my car so I have been using Banstead car wash who are very friendly and nothings a problem helping me in and out also putting away wheelchair not only that they have always done a great job inside and out well done

My daughter has just returned from this car wash extremely upset. She arrived back to pick up her car after cleaning and the first thing she noticed was that the car was parked up in the public car park with the engine still running - they hadn’t even noticed! She then saw that one of the alloy wheels had not been cleaned properly, on inspection she saw that it has been damaged. The staff were dismissive and said it was her word against theirs. No apology and they were extremely rude. Avoid this car wash!

This man should not be in a customer facing job, rude, aggressive and kept trying to up the price. Would not recommend.

Fantastic job! They cleaned my car inside and out with great attention to detail — even made sure the soft top was spotless. The car looks like it just rolled out of the factory. Highly recommend their service!
